A genuine thank you for traveling with True Travels since 2013, but it is time for me to be here for my family. For those of you who were signed on to “White Christmas” in December, you may sign onto “Grease” scheduled for Saturday, July 26 or “White Christmas” on November 8. Transportation to Chanhassen Theater, lunch, admission, and driver tip included. Chanhassen has forwarded the credit to the play of your choice, however, if you need a refund now, I will do so. You are also invited to sign on to both. Deadline is 5 weeks prior to each production and is $160. I look forward to hearing from you. Rhonda

Extra time allowed us a quick stop at the Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Lacking was time to walk through specific gardens, but a tram ride took us around to view the sculptures. A terrific stop!

The 26 foot, 35,000 pound statue, “Embracing Peace” is on display at Memorial Park in honor of its 75th year anniversary. This traveling exhibit was brought in from New Jersey to be displayed for 6 months before it goes to Orlando.

This was our greeting to “The Polish Home” for a traditional Polish dinner with sausages, pierogis, cabbage slaw, and poppy seed cake. The accordion player, Tom Jadlowski, gave a historical/geographical presentation on the country’s border changes and freedom.

A dance demonstration by members of the Greek church members who also served Greek Salad and Baklava.

A tour of St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church featured beautiful wall paintings of Saints. Formerly a Jewish Synagogue, it was purchased in 1952 by the Greek Orthodox residents.

Openings remain for the Washington, DC tour for September 28 to October 6 and likely the last tour to that area. A must see for all Americans, the monuments, parks, and buildings significant to our country are amazing. Reasonably priced with a lot of activities included!
