Did you know that Walt Disney World offers four resorts that are dog-friendly? Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground, Art of Animation Resort, Port Orleans Riverside and Yacht Club all have dedicated rooms that will accomodate up to two dogs with an additional fee. Dogs receive a fun Pluto’s Welcome Kit, and each of these resorts is equipped with lots of great paths for walking your dog, plus pet relief areas.

At the January 1987 grand opening for the Star Tours attraction at Disneyland, Disney Chairman Michael Eisner and his wife dined with Dick Rutan and Jeana Yeager, who in December 1986 had piloted the first aircraft to fly around the world without stopping or refueling. After Jane Eisner asked what the pilots planned to do next, they replied, "Well, we're going to Disneyland." She later told her husband the phrase would make a great advertising campaign. Later that month, the first professional athlete uttered the phrase “I’m going to Disney World” when asked what he was going to do next?

Two and a half years ago I started my journey with The Vacation Wizards as an extension of my own love of traveling to, and visiting, the Disney Parks and other theme parks, whenever possible. Some of my earliest and favorite amusement park memories, and definitely my best Disney memories, were shared with my mom, Maxine. This video was taken 27 years ago today, on her 72nd birthday, celebrated at the Liberty Tree Tavern in the Magic Kingdom, right across from her favorite attraction, The Hall of Presidents. As my business grows, I am so excited that many of my clients are multi-generational or family groups. The memories I made with my mom, and now with my own family, are what it’s all about. I will never forget this magical trip, and would be honored to help you plan yours!
