Our Story - Lindsay Ranch - Topaz Hunting

The Historic Lindsay Ranch, 460 Lindsay Ranch Road, Mason, TX. is one of only three places in Texas where you can hunt for topaz, the Texas state gem. We also have a great variety of other rocks and minerals. We are open January 15 through September 30.

You may choose to stay in one of our two guests houses, the Cabin on Comanche Creek or Mason Mountain Manor. You may chose to camp in one of our primitive camp sites, the Crossing or Camping Under the Oaks. Or, you may choose to just come and hunt for a few hours.

Tools are provided. You keep what you find.
