Another day, another huge donation drop off 😺! Thank you so much for your donations from our wishlist; Cheryl F, Heather M, Jamie P, Cynthia R, Melissa L, Emily E, Caryn G, Kara H, Jerry J, Amanda S, Donna M, Yva D, John R, Daniel B, Melissa L, Mohammad B, Lindsey B, Jerry P, Kitty C, and Sarah C!! Your kindness and generosity during this shutdown are energizing and we are forever grateful ❤️😺 And we need all the good vibes we can get, because the issue is a bit more complicated than expected. It requires a structural engineer to assess and make recommendations. This is unfortunate, because they are not available until 8/6. That pushes our ability to place cats back until August. If you can, please please please adopt a cat or kitten from one of our rescue partners while they are overly full 😢. We are very sorry that this project is getting pushed back. This isn’t the news we were expecting the day before a repair. However, the landlord’s insurance is involved, so we hope that it doesn’t take too much longer. I am so sorry and again thank you all for helping us get through this. We couldn’t do it without the community support and we love y’all ❤️

Like most rescues, His Hands Extended Sanctuary is currently overrun with animals. But they didn’t bat an eye when we had to send 17 cats back to them. Every adoption frees up essential space for them. If you’re interested in adopting email: [email protected]

We had a follow up inspection with the insurance company and our shut down, lost wages, and most damaged items will be covered 😭❤️ We have the initial repair scheduled for 7/25 and will work diligently to put this all back together again! ***Update*** Adam from Jaco is wonderful and can start the repair process next week 😭❤️ We are looking at around 2 weeks-ish for reopen if everything goes the way we need it to! Bonus content: After unrelenting pressure and various news stories, this portion will be paid by the landlord, as it should. There are other out of pocket expenses (employee wages, reoccurring utility bills, etc) that we are left with that likely not be remedied, but we are still working on this. Stay tuned friends ❤️☕️😺

After a lot of really hard work, we think we found the source of our water problem! We meet with Jaco tomorrow morning to come up with a game plan to stop this water ❤️ After we see what our needs are, we will post a fundraiser. So many of y’all have reached out to offer help, your positivity keeps us going, thank you so much! Today would not have been possible without Kelly, Mindy, and some really fun tools. Shoutout to Gena from Wilks Insurance, she has been so helpful with this entire ordeal! And if you know anyone who does this work for a living, seriously thank them. I can’t feel my arms or legs. 🔨

Everyone’s positive energy and support are appreciated and we can’t say thank you enough ❤️ We have a company coming out Saturday and another company coming Monday to help us get the leak stopped, so we can get back to work! In the meantime, please consider adopting from one of our rescue partners, as this puts a strain on their already delicate resources. His Hands Extended Sanctuary has so many deserving cats and kittens that need a home right now. Please visit them and take home your new best friend while we diligently work to resolve this issue ❤️ Thank you all so much!

It breaks our heart to announce that Kitty Brew Cafe will be closed until further notice. 😿

If you’ve been following us on social media, you’ve read about our ongoing issue with water leaking into the cat lounge. Despite pleading for help for over a month, the owners of our building have still not identified, let alone fixed, the source of the water problem.

Our highest priorities are creating a safe and welcoming environment for the cats and our loyal customers. Today we came to the sad realization that the water seepage has advanced to a point that it’s no longer possible for us to keep the cat lounge open.

It is our intention to make sure that this is NOT a permanent closure. Best case scenario will be for the building’s owner to do the necessary repairs quickly so we can reopen soon.

We are also looking for a new location to move to, but that would not be a fast or cheap solution.

Please continue to follow us on social media for updates. We’re keeping our fingers (and paws) crossed that we’ll have good news to share with you soon.
