It’s been over a month since the hurricanes. I want to take everyone who helped us, supporting us through donations, kind words, and emotional support. I’m sorry it took me so long to thank everyone. I simply couldn’t talk about it for a while. It was a bitter pill. We have finished the move out of our home, and gutted what was left of the motel. Now we will rest for a few weeks, before we have to move again. We will be living at the motel in our RV beginning January. I have no idea what life has in store for us, I do know that the only way out is through. Right now it feels like all the doors are closed, I just have to find the open door and walk through it! I will post updates.

Thank you to everyone who reached out. Unfortunately, the motel did not fare well. The storm was mild, some wind and barely any rain. However, it brushed up against our coast during high tide, and the water came through. We have just rented out our house and we’re planning to move into the motel, all of our moving boxes were stored in the shed at the motel. The shed took on water and I have still not even got to try to salvage my boxes, we have been too busy the last few days ripping up the brand new floors because they were destroyed by the 8 inches of water that came into the motel we were devastated and have shed our tears. This will not stop us, we will lay down new flooring. We only lost one sofa, the rest of the furniture we had put on blocks. We are applying for a grant to try to have the buildings raised, this will make us safe from future unpredictable waters, and also make our property valuable in the event that we decide to sell because we are so freaking done with this crap, lol. We will be doing a GoFundMe to try to help with the expense as we still have not received a payout from our insurance claim from hurricane Ian two years ago. Thank you too our wonderful friends who have helped us with clean-up. We are exhausted and could not have gotten through this without your help.

Good afternoon! I'm looking for feedback. I'd greatly appreciate your time in telling me which you prefer. A futon-style couch or sleep sofa that opens to extra sleeping space, or two recliners with little end tables in the sitting space? Many thanks for considering my request.
