This week begins our interior renovation efforts to improve our facilities for our 2023 guests. Previously, there was a single full bathroom upstairs only accessible through the second floor master bedroom. We are in the process of adding a second full bathroom upstairs for the convenience of guests using the bunkroom and loft bedrooms. More updates to come as efforts progress.

I want to thank all of our that take the time to write . I read as many as I can and always learn something. Special thanks to Tim S. who took the time to write a detailed review. I am headed down in a few weeks so I can use this as an opportunity to investigate some of his feedback. We are planning to improve our stairs to the this off-season. We do clean the windows inside and out at the beginning of the season. We will look at options for cleaning more often and I will look at the dock to determine if repairs are needed. Feel free to write a review here or to any of the other sites so we can continue to improve our service levels to all of our guests. Thank again for considering us in your plans.

Foot Hills Parkway

We are just a couple of hours from and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Beautiful drive with if you want to get away from for a day.

Looking for a scenic drive with views of the Smoky Mountains? Check out the Foothills Parkway! Congress authorized the Foothills Parkway in 1944 as a scenic parkway that would provide magnificent views into Great Smoky Mountains National Park from a road corridor outside the Park. There are many scenic stops to make along the way, including Parson Bald Overlook, where visitors can see Parson Bald mountain on the right and Gregory Bald on the left. There is also Happy Valley Overlook; Look Rock, which is the tallest point on the parkway; and Great Smoky Mountains Overlook with its panoramic view of the mountains like the one seen here.

We have updated our booking policy to require 7 day minimum during peak season and 5 day minimums for the balance of the year. We are also capping our guest limit to 10 with 8 adult maximum. I am open to discussing waiving these policies for existing guests or potential customers that I can verify so please feel free to contact me should you want to discuss these policies.

We have created these policies to reduce the risk of large parties and the increased risk of damage to the house caused by short-term bookings.
