This will be the start point for our Quad Quebec trip at the Gaspe Peninsula the first week in September. Of course minus the snow and snowmobiles!😆
Beautiful view of the Chic Choc mountains in front of the lodge. Only been here in the winter and can’t wait to see it in summer!

Just under three weeks left in snowmobile season and then it will be time to concentrate on our 4-wheel riding!
We are planning first week in August riding out of Mekoos in the upper Laurentians and then first week in September riding at the Gaspe Peninsula starting from Grandee Nature Village in the Chic Chocs. More details are coming after snowmobile season.

Is it too early to talk about our Quad Quebec season? Well,,, we haven’t even started our snowmobile yet but if you fail to plan, you plan to fail!
We picked up our new hats and just waiting for a couple sizes out shirts to come to complete our shirt order.
As of now, our first week in Quebec will be August 2-9 and we will ride out of the Mekoos lodge in central Quebec.
Our second trip will be everyone’s ultimate ride the Gaspe peninsula. August 30-September. Our start point will be Grandee Nature Village in the Chic Chocs!

Wet, muddy and slippery, with lots of ruts you get sucked into. We stayed on the easy trails!

We went past a lot of ATV resorts over the last three days on the southern section of the Hatfield and McCoy trails. Most are just glorified garden sheds and campers.

We made the decision not to go to Quebec over the holidays because of rain so we went to the Hatfield and McCoy trails in West Virginia.
Heavy rains here have things a mess but we are out in the easy trails and some roads!
We had to change our route when our trail turned into a stream and the stream cross got real deep. Not something I wanted to cross without another machine with us!

So here we are at these beautiful cabins and A frames in Rock WV. A much easier drive getting here than fighting the Montreal traffic.. the 21 miles of 1 1/2 lane winding dirt road getting here can be a bit hairy😆.
They are calling for a lot of rain so we will stay on easy trails to feel things out. Glad I enclosed our cab.

My trailering cover came and I installed the wheel tie downs. Most of the covers I looked at specified not for trailering. This is an OEM cover. Dirt is one thing but road salt is another!

On its way! Protect you machine from the road salts if trailering in an open trailer. Make sure if you buy a cover it is trailerable. Most aren’t!

Normally this is snowmobile season riding machines with wheels would be the last thing I’d be thinking about but our holiday snowmobile riding hasn’t happened in three years and since we planned our vacation we are going to head south after Xmas with the SxS.
I ordered an OEM trailering cover to protect the machine from the road salts. Heading down to western WV section of Hatfield McCoy trail
