The cost for Ride the Lowcountry held 04/13-14, in South Carolina, is currently $75 but will increase to $95 after 02/07/24. If you are thinking about this ride, don't wait, go to https://ridethelowcountry.com/ for more information and to register.

Please ensure you have also downloaded on your phone the Ride with GPS instructions, if desired, or carry a printed version of the map and turns. Remember your route color to stay on course.

Good morning Gran Fondo riders. We are aware there is road construction along Route 430 between Hartfield and Bemus Point. The NY State Highway Department supervisor said the milling work will be completed by Friday and repaving will begin next week. So good news, there is no planned construction work during the event on Saturday. However, due to the road surface being rough, it will result in slower speeds through this area. We have considered alternate routes but all add miles, are more hilly, and potentially less safe. Riding slower in the construction zone is still the fastest route. Please understand this is not what we would like for the event and not preferred for riding but we have no control over the construction schedule. Next year this section will be smooth and wonderful to ride.

Stick and Bricks will be back again this year beginning at 11 AM to serve up salad and hot pizza. They will also have pulled pork sandwiches and mac & cheese available this year!

Beer will be flowing for $5 per cup. And new this year, Off The Stick Ice Cream will be serving frozen treats for you to enjoy from 12 - 4pm.

So plan to hang around after riding to enjoy food, drink, and music with hundreds of your CHQGF friends! See you Saturday!

Our partners at Loud Performance and Pearl City Cycle will be available at Mayville Lakeside Park prior to the ride start to help you with any minor bike issues and tweaks.

Along with Jamestown Cycle Shop, all three will be driving the routes if anyone has a mechanical issue or needs to be driven back to the start/finish.

Below are some important items you need to know for Friday and Saturday.

FRIDAY:
-Check in is required on Friday 4-7pm or Saturday morning 6:30-7:45am.
-For Friday check in ONLY, you may drive up to the Carlson Community Center.
-There will be signs directing you to Check In at the Carlson Community Center.

SATURDAY:
-Volunteers will be directing you where to park on Saturday morning. Please see the map in the Ride Guide for parking locations.
-Check in is required on Friday 4-7pm or Saturday morning 6:30-7:45am.
-There will be signs directing you to Check In at the Carlson Community Center.
-A big THANK YOU to the volunteers at Creche for helping again this year at check in!
-School supplies may be dropped off pre or post event at the check in area.
-You will receive a color coded wrist band that you MUST wear while participating and attending the After Party.
-The start and finish areas plus rider staging sections are different than previous years. Please see the Ride Guide map for details.
-Loud Performance and Pearl City Cycle will be available pre-ride at the park for minor bike adjustments.
-Loud Performance, Pearl City Cycle, and Jamestown Cycle Shop will be providing mechanical support services for the routes.
-If you need assistance during the event, please call 585-943-4762 so a vehicle can be dispatched to you.
-Plan to stay around for the After Party. There is food, beverage, and entertainment waiting for you.
-We ride rain or shine. And again this year the weather forecast is beautiful!

ATTENTION 20-mile riders!

On Saturday 8/19, the Bemus Point - Stow Ferry will begin operating at 9AM for CHQ Gran Fondo participants, which is earlier than their typical start time. There may be a brief interruption of service from 11:30-12pm. Please plan accordingly.

Plan to stay around for the After Ride Party next Saturday. For your entertainment after riding in the CHQ Gran Fondo, we have a DJ spinning tunes from 11am - 1pm. Then Sharped Dressed Man will be playing live from 1pm - 4pm. The After Party includes food and beverage for all registered riders.
