My brother and his family live in Asheville. I finally got a chance to talk to Johnny and Tara personally! They’re exhausted!! They just got power. They have water but it’s not potable. So they’re still having to go to the water distribution center to get drinking and cooking water.
I asked how we can help. They said they’re getting one free meal a day from World Central Kitchen and they can continue doing that if they have donors. Here’s the link to donate to that company:

One of the best ways we will be able to help is to visit Asheville in a few months. Buy things from local artists and stores that reopen (not necessarily a chain… local is best to support the economy). Buy meals from restaurants that reopen that are not a chain.
