Apple Vacations/Amstar is getting a new look in destination!!! I have to say I will miss the "Hawaiian" flowers - and - I will probably describe the shirts wrong after all these years, but I do dig the new look!!!

Pretty good article on the pros & cons of using a travel agent. This one is more PRO. Especially if one has been in the industry 36 years (hint hint - yours truly).

One thing it points out is that this is our JOB. Our ONLY job. We are not a nurse/teacher doing this one the side, or someone doing this to TRAVEL and TRAVEL ONLY - take a pass on that agent. Who has time to travel constantly when we have to WORK booking YOUR trips, right??

Also, let's talk fees. PC Travel has started at $55 research fee in 2025. It is necessary. Some are ok with it, and others, I take it by not getting the call/email back, are not. I feel that my (Carrie Lynn) knowledge is worth that fee. It would be applied to the booking if you book, but if you don't it's non refundable. Do you think our knowledge is worth it??

I am SO happy for Virgin Voyages for taking a stance on this. I thought agencies rebating were a thing of the past... especially after Covid. Who can afford it??

Now stalking cruise terminals? New Low. Maybe this is because of Covid?

Back to rebating - if you do it - STOP.

I have been selling travel for 36 years. I have NEVER had to do this to get a sale. There are enough clients for ALL of us. This includes the ones that book on their OWN.

PC Travel Service celebrated our 12th year in business yesterday, December 1st, on small business Saturday! I want to take a minute to thank all the clients who have supported me all these years. Carrie Lynn Good, for helping me achieve my goals. Her clients for booking with her, which in turn, also keeps the business rockin & a rollin!! I will always thank Sandy Colaizzi, former Apple Rep, for giving me the courage to open PC Travel. To Ted Williams, for the most awesome logo EVER created. To my mum & sister who always listen when i need to vent. To Ron who gave me the financial freedom to take the plunge. To my ex boss who taught me to be the awesome agent i am today. Most of all, the only reason PC Travel exists is because of a beautiful boy born on 6-22-07, my one & only, Frankie 💙
