—BURNEY Falls, CA—
McArthur-Burney Memorial Falls State Park is within the Cascade Range and Modoc Plateau natural region, with a forest and five miles of streamside and lake shoreline, including a portion of Lake Britton.

The park's centerpiece is the 129-foot Burney Falls, which is not the highest or largest waterfall in the state, but possibly the most beautiful. Additional water comes from springs, joining to create a mist-filled basin. Burney Creek originates from the park's underground springs and flows to Lake Britton, getting larger along the way to the majestic falls.

Within the park, the water emerges as springs at and above Burney Falls, where it flows at 100 million gallons every day.

The Venice Canals in Los Angeles County are one of the most unique things you can do during a day at the beach.
The canals are located right off 25th street in Venice Beach, and if you didn’t know they were there, you would easily walk right by them.

-DIAMOND LAKE, Southern Oregon, U.S State-
Diamond Lake is a natural body of water in the Southern part of the U.S. State of Oregon.
It lies near the junction of Oregon Route 138 and Oregon Route 230 in the Umpqua National Forest in Douglas County. It is located between Mount Bailey to the west and Mount Thielsen to the east; it is just north of Crater Lake National Park.

Surrounded by conifer trees along the east shore of mile-high Diamond Lake, this campground offers social lakeshore camping and several more secluded inshore sites. Reservations are required.
During the summer season, Diamond Lake is a very popular destination with up to 700,000 visitors a year.
There are interpretative ranger activities on the weekends.
Expect mosquitoes!!!!!

It is in the heart of delightful Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park along the Smith River, northeast of Crescent City. Exceptional facilities, scenic attractions, and interpretive programs make Jedediah Smith a premier camping destination in the Redwood Empire. Visitors to the area enjoy the scenic beauty of the Smith River and the redwoods. Enjoyable hiking trails lead out from the campground. Fishing for steelhead in the Smith River is best early in the year.

Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park Campground features 86 campsites. Fifty are for RVs, trailers, or tents. Sixteen sites are designated tents only. Campsites are shaded by redwoods and alders. There are also 5 Hike & Bike sites along with a Group Site.

-Jedediah Smith - Redwoods National and State Parks, California US-

Bright, open, and lush, Jed Smith’s redwood groves are the most scenic in existence. The park has trees of truly stupendous size: not as tall as the redwoods to the south, but bigger in diameter. Somewhere in the park is the largest coast redwood by volume, a tree that’s exceeded in size, and not by much, by only seven giant sequoias. And with exceptional variety in the color, texture, and size of the trees, and even in the understory vegetation, the woods are an interesting place to hike.

With its huge swath of uninterrupted old growth, Jedediah Smith is also the most unspoiled redwood park. In fact its main drawback, at least from a hikers’ perspective, is that it’s too undeveloped. The Boy Scout Tree Trail is really the only trail that lets hikers get a look at the magnificent redwood scenery in the park’s interior. With few trails available, the top trails attract a lot of visitors.

Quickest Way To See Some Really Big Trees

Located in Prairie Creek State Park and just off the Newton B. Drury Scenic Parkway, this is an easy walk to stunning old-growth redwood trees. A viewing platfrom and interpretive signage is located around the "Big Tree".

The walk to the Big Tree is less than 200 yards (100 meters) from the parking area.
This location is popular with visitors, tour groups or charter busses that have less than half an hour to experience any redwoods.

Other short walks like the 15-minute "Circle Trail" are found next to the Big Tree.
