While Crater Lake National Park is known for its breathtakingly blue hue during the warmer months, only the few brave enough to brace the cold know the true beauty of the park during the winter season. Snow-shoeing at Crater Lake National Park is an adventure worth embarking on and well worth the reward once you reach the rim.

Ranger-led snow-shoe walks are offered Saturdays and Sundays from December until April and are available on weekdays during winter break (December 23 - January 3) and spring break (March 24 - March 28). They begin at 1 p.m. and last about 2 hours for 1-2 miles of moderate to strenuous activity. Dress warm and go with a guide when exploring the park this winter season. ❄️ 🎿

We are delighted to announce the opening of our new Lithia Chair! 🏔️🚡❄️

❄️Saturday, December 14th at 10:30 am
❄️Meet at the bottom of Lithia Chair for a ribbon cutting ceremony followed by the inaugural ride! The chair is easily accessible by skiing or riding down Aisle 1 to the loading area.

Lithia Chair will serve more difficult terrain to start with easier terrain in the plans for the future.
The chairlift was made a priority this year due to the need for a more well-rounded learning progression for novice skiers and snowboarders!
In addition, it creates a designated area for our Elementary and Middle School Alpine teams to race.

You can read more about the journey and our first new lift in 37 years by exploring Latest News under the Your Mountain tab on our website linked in our bio.

Be one of the first to experience Lithia Chair and join us for this historic day! It’s been years in the making and we can’t wait to share in the joy it brings our community!

Eeeek! We are so excited for this incredible moment with our guests! 🥹🤍

November is Native American Heritage Month, the perfect time to visit Ti’lomikh Falls, a series of rapids along the Wild & Scenic Rogue River.

Historically, the Takelma People held their Salmon Ceremony at Ti’lomikh Falls, sharing stories of The Great Dragonfly while gathered around the Storytelling Stone, a chair-like rock that visitors can still see today. While the river provides a beautiful landscape for a light hike, it is even more meaningful to recognize and celebrate that the land you are enjoying has been preserved by the indigenous people of Southern Oregon.

You can learn more about the history behind the falls and the Takelma people at the link ➡️ bit.ly/3NVB0Zj provided by the Gold Hill White Water organization.
