I created this page so my poor Facebook friends wouldn't have to endure me bombing their newsfeed with my baking adventures. Thank you for stopping by!

In 2011, to save money, I volunteered to create 350 cupcakes for my son's wedding. Until then, I hadn't made a cupcake in, oh say, 15 years. You know the kind of cupcake I'm talking about. The kind you make from a boxed mix and canned icing for children's birthday parties. While brainstorming over the types of cupcakes to serve at the wedding reception and experimenting with different recipes, I d

iscovered I had a passion for making gourmet cupcakes. I even dabbled a bit with creating my own flavors. The wedding cupcakes were a huge success and I started getting special requests from family and friends. I've always been a big fan of sugar cookies. I have a recipe that has been passed down to me from my maternal grandmother's side of the family. She would have these big, soft cookies waiting for me after school which she served with a tall glass of cold milk. It's a tradition that I have kept alive with my own children. I bake and decorate sugar cookies at every holiday and have put together plates for friends on special occasions. I'm getting quite an extensive cookie cutter collection...

**Flash forward to fall of 2021** In October 2021, I contracted a mild case of Covid. While I was home, I decided I needed cookie decorating in my life. I signed up for a series of online cookie decorating classes and found out I really enjoyed the process. I’ve always enjoyed baking cookies and decided to amp up my skills. I’ll be retiring soon, so it’s the perfect hobby for me. I’ve been tested by my friends as they have requested unique cookie sets. My skills are far from being perfect, but each set brings a whole new dimension to my creations. It’s a constant learning process which I’m glad to take on.

I’ve been a slacker here, lately. But I did find time to whip up a new flavor of marshmallows. I made some Peppermint Marshmallow Brownie bars and dropped them off Home.Made. yesterday. Oh my goodness! Chocolate and peppermint? Perfect treat for the holiday season!

Last couple of orders before I call it a wrap for September - I will not be taking anymore orders from now until the end of October. Part of my California family is coming this week to visit through next week, then we are headed out the door for a 2 week hunting trip. Thank you for your loyalty and we will see you the first of November!

I just dropped off 3 new batches of handcrafted gourmet marshmallows at Home.Made. S’mores Bars (a local favorite), Vanilla (goes great in your coffee or hot chocolate) and a new flavor (even though it isn’t )…. Churro! This flavor was inspired by my favorite Walt Disney World snack. With a hint of brown sugar and cinnamon, they are sooooo delicious in coffee.
