Crown Coach

Founded in 1995 by Raymond and Margaret Beebe, Crown Coach is one of the longest operating motor coach companies in the Mid South. As a locally owned family business, Crown attributes ,much of its success to doing business the old fashioned way with great quality, dependability, and friendly service.

Busing is simply in the Beebe blood. Raymond’s father worked for Greyhound for 41 years. Raymond did likewise for 17 years before temporarily converting to trucks. “I spent 21 years in trucking, and I always wanted to get back into the bus business” says Raymond. So he bought a motor coach in 1995 and named it Crown Coach as a symbol of royal service. The Beebe’s brought aboard their daughter, Lori Womack, shortly thereafter as the business began to grow. By the year 2001, the Crown fleet had grown to 8 coaches. Their son, John Wilson, joined the business at that time and soon 4 more coaches were added to bring the total to 12 coaches. Raymond and Margaret retired from the daily operations in 2007.

Although the fleet size remains the same, the customers have grown with personal relationships and a hands on approach. With almost two decades of experience in the motor coach industry, both John and Lori have continued to operate Crown Coach with the same old fashioned principles as when it started. Lori oversees all office operations and personally handles all itineraries and driver paperwork to ensure every trip is safe and compliant. John is responsible for driver training and the maintenance of the coaches. Both are actively involved in the The Tennessee Motor Coach Association where John has served on the Board of Directors from 2009 to 2015 and presently is Vice President of the Association.

Crown feels we owe our success to our loyal customers, and outstanding team of drivers.
