Posted from University Arkansas Rich Mountain: LOCAL WORKFORCE OFFICE CLOSED
Just a reminder that the Mena Workforce Office was closed effective 9/1/24. With the number of people that are coming in having not been made aware of the closure, I understand that resources to make everyone aware are quite limited, especially with the number of people who aren't on Facebook or have access to newspaper. Unfortunately, many people that come in to our center have driven from as far away as Waldron or DeQueen to realize that the office is closed. If you have access to outside areas, or information/job/ lost and found boards in local businesses, please share this information.
We do post jobs here in the Abernathy Building and we have paper copies of the information located on the links below. We also offer career coaching, resume building, and workforce skills within our program, as well as advising or recommending college classes. Our adult education center has a mission to help educate and train all those who wish to enter college or the workforce and inform the public on crucial changes to the availability of state services.
The links below offer support for looking for jobs and how to file an unemployment claim.

Local employers:
Due to the closure of the local workforce center, job seekers are being directed to the Arkansas job link website. If your business doesnโ€™t post to the state website, please share your open positions to our center and we are posting them to help our clients, walk-in seekers and college students. We may have programs available to help train or prepare employees as well. You can drop off paper flyers to our center in the Abernathy Building or email them to me at [email protected]. Please put JOB LISTING in the subject line.
Thank you for sharing this post.
