Crooked Creek Falls Cleanup 7/1/2021

!!!Fun video alert!!! Yesterday evening, thanks to an absolute moron, we had the opportunity to take the boys out to Crooked Creek Falls and do some voluntary cleanup of the area. This area is gorgeous and a great hangout spot for an afternoon of swimming and picnicking. If you don’t already know, ask us how to get out there next time you’re up! We picked up THREE full bags of trash AND an entire tent that someone just up and left. Let us just say this right here right now… (and we feel quite confident that we speak for the entire area) If you are the kind that litters or even remotely thinks it’s ok to leave a place worse than you found it, you are not welcome here. We want you all to come up and have a great time but please understand that this area is FREE for all to enjoy. The major trash cleanup efforts over the past few months are 100% voluntary by folks like us who love this area and want to see it remain open and beautiful for all to take part in. Please do your part by packing out anything that you pack in. And if you’re so inclined, maybe even carry a trash bag or two with you and pick up a little bit along the way. If everyone pitched in just a tiny bit, this whole place would be spotless. Also, we still have a little bit of availability in July and August! Don’t let summer slip away before you know it! Come see us and all of the amazing sights and places that this area has to offer. We promise you’ll find something up here to love and come back time and time again for! Thanks to everyone who has done their part in keeping this area clean, free, open, and beautiful! Don’t make Asher and Mason have to pick up any more “glitter” (litter as Asher calls it)! Haha. Low water crossing at Mack’s Creek

We’ve got several of y’all checking in today and going out riding and stuff so please be careful and let us know if you need directions on how to get around the back way via Polk 62. As you can see, Mack’s Creek is looking a little more like Mack’s Raging River this afternoon so please please please be careful!! Do not attempt to cross any low water crossings that have 6 inches of water or more going across it, especially if it’s running quickly.

I know it sounds like Frank Sinatra, but it’s not... 😉 Didn’t want to get put in Facebook jail again for copyright infringement, so I had to do a little improvising and change up the words to match the video. Lol It was a perfect evening to float away in our creek! Except Amberlee couldn’t because I hooked her to the winch so she could fully relax. Hahaha
