Salvation Nation Design was born from a love of all things vintage & the concept of recycling treasures of the past for fit & function in the modern home.

A spin-off of Salvation Nation Vintage Jewelry, owner Cara Meyers Herrmann switched the focus over to home design consultation after customers' invited her to visit their homes to offer opinions on how to incorporate family heirlooms into their decor without looking old fashioned & dat

ed. What started out as consultation on how to use a beloved Aunt's hope chest (repurpose as a coffee table!); Grandmother's china (mix in a fun, new & modern pattern!); & that antique, Jacobean dining room set that has value & a lifetime of childhood holiday memories but "Just Doesn't Fit" (reupholster in a bold and modern textile!) has become much more. Now offering a full menu of interior design services, Salvation Nation specializes in updating older homes while being respectful of the time period and history of the original build. One room or the whole house -- we can accomplish full kitchen and bathroom renovations, tile selection, carpentry & hardwood, carpet installation, upholstery, furniture purchases, as well as the installation of outdoor "living rooms", decking & gardens, too. And much, much more. We are consistently hired to assess a collection and find a new way to display it, whether it be pottery, glassware, vintage globes, Hess trucks, fine art or family photos! No project is too big or too small. We have done it all and are happy to help clients problem-solve with the goal of creating a space where you are simply surrounded by beauty day in and day out. Reduce the clutter & keep the memories!
