These two couples journeyed from Pensacola FL and Little Rock AR for a 25-year wedding anniversary trip. They started in Barcelona, then boarded the Celebrity Equinox for 9 nights – Spain, Portugal, and Morocco. After returning to Barcelona, they took the bullet train to Paris (up to 180mph) and spent three more days exploring France.

Bougainvillea Resort in Barbados -100 rooms, family friendly. Not all-inclusive. Rooms have kitchenette. Beautiful stretch of Beach - same area as Sandals Resorts 15 minutes from airport. They have a sister resort, closer to Carlisle Bay (one of the nicest beaches I have been to). Sugar Bay is also a family resort - all inclusive. Clients just returned from the RIU Palace Kukulkan in the heart of Cancun's hotel zone. "We wanted to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed our trip. So glad you recommended the "Elite Club". The resort has four pools, 1 specifically for guests in the EC with cabanas included. This was one of the things we enjoyed most!"

Sandals Regency La Toc Golf Resort and Spa is the largest of the three Sandals properties on St. Lucia with 323 rooms and suites in 22 different room categories. The resort is quite impressive, sitting on 220 acres. It has an interesting layout offering something for everyone. There is a lot of activity down in the Emerald Village with the main pool, restaurants, entertainment, and the beach. If you want to stay away from the “hustle and bustle” choose a room in one of the other three villages (Honeymoon Hideaway, The Piton’s, or Sunset Bluff). If you really want to spoil yourself, this resort also offers Sunset Oceanview Bluff Millionaire Suites – where you will be completely pampered during your stay. There are plenty of transportation options to move you around this expansive property. There is also a 9-hole golf course undergoing renovations that include new bungalows on the course!

Sandals Grande St. Lucian “The Grand” has 311 rooms and sits on a BEAUTIFUL, crystal clear beach. The beach is protected here, so it is calm waters with breathtaking views. If you are a beach lover, this is the resort on the island of St. Lucia for you. I would also recommend this resort to my divers. They have a dive boat on-site and the diving is spectacular. There is something for everyone here with over the water bungalows, rondovals, swim-up rooms, and luxury suites. We were able to see several rooms with private pools, glass floor panels, and both beach and garden views. This is also a great resort for a beach side wedding, as they have a chapel that sits over the water!

Let’s talk about Aruba – it is truly “One Happy Island”

I have personally visited this island over 20 times. I am an Aruba Certified Specialist and have helped several families, couples, and friend groups plan their Aruban vacations. Aruba has something for everyone – beautiful beaches, wonderful food, and several activities to choose from - parasailing, sunset cruises, diving, snorkeling trips, jeep tours – just to name a few. There are also many accommodation choices including couples only, family friendly, high-rise hotels and all-inclusives. Most major airlines offer direct flights daily, making this Caribbean Island a great vacation choice. It is just outside the hurricane belt and enjoys near perfect Caribbean weather 365 days a year – ocean breeze, 80 – 90 degrees, and very little rain.

All-Inclusive resorts are great for families AND they are also great for adults only - couples, singles and friends! These resorts are along the same stretch of beach in the Cancun Riviera. They range from new, beautiful, and relaxing to a bit more party and fun. Nothing too crazy, but there are certainly resorts in this area for all types of travelers. Here are some pictures from The Haven Riviera, Excellence Riviera, Secrets Maroma Beach, and Breathless/Secrets Riviera. Both of the hotels we stayed at were in the hotel zone. We did a number of site inspections, outside of the hotel zone, in the Riviera section of Cancun (not as far south as Playa Del Carmen). These properties are all between 30 - 45 minutes from the airport. They are all gated and a few miles off the main road. Here are some pictures from The Hyatt Ziva, the new Royalton Splash, the Iberostar Paraiso Maya, and Dreams Natura. These are all family friendly properties. Our last site inspection was The Americana Grand Fiesta (our second host hotel). This resort is in the downtown area of the hotel zone. It is part of the same hotel group as Live Aqua, but family friendly. My room was on the 10th floor, ocean front. Beautiful view and pools. The beach is right next to the pier with ferry service to Isla Majeures - 13 km off the coast with beautiful beaches, a sea turtle sanctuary and coral reef snorkeling and diving. The Americana has changed to all inclusive, following Covid, and offers and Infinite Club. Rooms in this category include a dedicated lounge area, a private section of the beach, an upscale French restaurant (fee for non-infinite guests), and discounts to the spa. The spa is massive. They offer a hydrotherapy service (included if you purchase another spa service – massage/facial) that is impressive. A spa attendant guides you through and your skin feels so refreshed and hydrated when you are done. They have both a male and female side for all to enjoy! Food at the ala carte restaurants was very good, they also offer a buffet for breakfast and lunch and an ice cream / candy shop for those late night or afternoon sweet cravings.

First site inspection at the Live Aqua in Cancun. This resort is on a beautiful stretch of beach just past the “Hotel Zone”. They cater to the five senses and the entire resort, including your room, smells like a spa. My room is an Ocean front concierge level. My “butler” Rodrigo welcomed me and promptly put me on “WhatsApp” for anything I need during my visit. The rooms are quite nice with several extra touches – electric blinds, aromatherapy scented oils, a beach bag, flip flops and robes. They have 7 pools, 10 ala carte dining options (one serves a buffet for breakfast and lunch), 5 bars, a salon, spa, gym and a yoga room. If you just feel like something easy for lunch, while enjoying the pool or the beach, they have street tacos and a burger stand – was very popular this afternoon. This is an all-inclusive resort with different room categories/amenities. Another popular spot is the Starbucks – included at no additional charge!

Curacao is a Dutch Caribbean island in the Southern Caribbean Sea. It is just off the coast of Venezuela and is a neighboring island of Aruba and Bonaire. Sandals has opened its newest resort here. The property sits on 3,000 acres with an adjacent 18-hole designer golf course. In addition to the room renovations, Sandals added pools, restaurants, and swim-up rooms. Rondoval Suites are also available, some with private infinity pools overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The main pool is a double infinity pool, a first for Sandals, with breathtaking views. This beautiful new ship, the MSC Seascape, will be in New York city this week. I will be onboard Wednesday night for her Naming Ceremony. In addition to this magnificent gala, we will spend Wednesday and Thursday viewing and experiencing everything this ship has to offer.
