You will need a reservation if you want to enter the West Glacier Entrance from May 24 to Sept. 8 between 6am and 3pm. Be ready to log on (https://www.recreation.gov/timed-entry/10087086/ticket/10087087) 120 days prior to get your pass. Do not be late as sell out in minutes. You can also try the night before at 7pm sharp.
We drove both ways and going west to east, as a passenger, will make your heart flutter! You are inches from a sheer cliff. I loved it but know others may not. No worries, east entrance at St Mary's does not require a reservation, we found it less busy 🧐 and huggin the mountain instead of on the edge.

We opted to tour Riquewihr, one of the ”Most Beautiful Villages in France”, it did not disappoint! A bit of history, Riquewihr suffered little damage during the two world wars, which explains its exceptional state! We enjoyed Christmas shops, gingerbread cookies, fantastic wines from the surrounding vineyards and pastries.
