A teenager helped
with taking down the display (he was fantastic… such a good kid!), but I didn’t get info from his mom to contact them to say thanks after the fact! I only know their first names.

I ended up gifting him a gift card to the movies at the Merritt Island mall that we had JUST gotten for Christmas 🎄… and I just read that the movies closed! I feel terrible - we had no idea it was closing when we gave it to him!

If you’re the mom- I just wanted to let you know we were super grateful for his help and sorry about the no-good gift card 😭!

Incredibly grateful to all the volunteers who helped take down the display! This was the fastest takedown yet! Only five hours! All that’s left is the roof -which is always done on a different day anyways 😊.

A BIG thank you to Bonnie Stone, Brenda Cartwright, Dave Zimmerman, Christian, Sarah & Emily, and of course… my hubby Calvin Dixon! You all are simply amazing and words cannot say how much I appreciate you!

Looking for help! Going to start taking down the display tomorrow, Thurs Jan 2nd at 9 AM if anyone wants to come by for a little bit and donate their time! The big job is getting all the lights & extension cords out of the yard and bringing them to the driveway so that they can be packed away. If enough people show up, this can actually happen pretty quickly! 

I will post as soon as we’re done – so make sure to check the page before you head over (if you can’t be here when we start, but still want to come help!)

Super excited! So the New Year's light show debuted last night and it was great! Much more of a turnout that I expected, considering this is a brand new light show that I've only recently been talking about!

Each song in the show is a snippet of the original song, that way the show keeps moving through the holidays at a quicker pace! Before the debut, I was able to make shortened versions for all of the songs EXCEPT "What's This" and "Carol of the Bells". I had programmed for 5 full days leading up to the debut (I know, crazy!), and just didn't have time! So for those two songs, I just used the full length version that was in the Christmas light show.

However, last night, it was obvious (probably just to me lmao 😅) that those two songs were full versions, when the rest of the show was shortened versions of each song.

So! I started working on them today and I JUST finished! This may not seem like a big deal to anyone else watching, but for me, now the New Year's light show will be EXACTLY what I had always wanted... a montage/medley of the upcoming major holidays in 2025!

Can't wait to see it in action tonight!

Hope you get to come by and see it before it alllllll comes down on Jan 2! It will run nightly from 6-10PM through December 31st! New Year’s Day night (final night) will only be from 6-8 PM.

The New Year’s light show (a celebration of all the upcoming major holidays in 2025!) will DEBUT for the FIRST time on Friday night at 7 PM!

The Christmas light show will be up tonight & tomorrow only from 6-10 PM!

Words cannot say how excited I am to see this on the house! It's going to be amazing! First 32 seconds programmed now (has taken about 4 hours!) Have about 1 min left to program in this song... hoping to get it done before the show starts tonight!

Omg for the Saint Paddy’s day song I’m programming right now … I’m literally dancing at my computer to the beat while programming to match my dancing 😅! That’s right! I’m actually programming a wave across the house when I do a dip with my shoulders 🤣

The Dixon's Holiday Displays Christmas Light Show will run through Thursday, Dec 26th from 6-10 PM each night.

Tonight (Christmas Eve), I will be passing out candy canes when I am outside!

Also! I'm making great progress on the surprise New Year's light show! Planning to debut this 11 min show on Friday, Dec 27th at 7PM EST! The show will be a head nod to all the major holidays in the year, as I'm always getting people asking if I put up a light show for holidays other than Halloween or Christmas (lol no I do not!) The new show will ONLY be up through New Year's day, so make sure you catch it when it's up!

Oh and if you can share this - would really appreciate it! Trying to get the word out about both Christmas & New Year's Light Shows!

Made great progress today on my surprise New Year’s Light Show! It usually takes me eight hours to program one minute of music, but I am averaging about two hours right now – I am flying trying to make the debut for Friday night! So far I have the intro Holiday Celebration song done, an intro into Valentines and the Valentine’s Day song done!

The show is going to be a nod towards all the major holidays in the year … since time again, I hear from people that they wish the display was up year around! (Neighbors… I PROMISE it won’t be longer than it already is lol)!

Super excited! Going to hit St. Patrick’s Day song tomorrow! 

Oh … and those of you that love my Halloween light show – you’re gonna get a couple favorites from it in this show!

I’m working on programming a 11 min New Year’s Light Show & if it gets done in time… will debut Fri Dec 27 and run through New Year’s Day!

If it does not get done in time, then the Christmas Light Show will run through New Year’s Eve … & the New Year’s light show will happen next year!
