The best source for original, unique, custom radio control Kits and Upgrades. We are known for Durability, High Performance, High Realism and Aesthetics.
We started back in the 80’s under MIA Designs, from the need to make unique Flying Model Products, due to the lack of not finding similar on the market.
We started desiging and making simple yet realistic rubber powered helicopter kits for local hobby shops and selling them via Flying Models magazine ads. Later on, in the early 90’s, we started to promote the concept of “Slow-Fly Electric Power RC Micro Heli” via early internet web sites such as AOL, and a few others, and we sold electric power free flight helicopter plans online. In the latter part of the 90’s we sold, via snail mail, our first, as well as world’s first full RC Electric powered helicopter kits, in the 4oz and 20” rotor blades size, an early version of the MIA Robin 280 RC Micro helicopter called the MIA Sport LE.
In 1999 we established MIA Micro-FLIGHT and we continued to promote the Micro Heli concept and established the Sub-Micro and Palm-Size (MIA Trademark) categories of rc helicopters, by continuing to promote these categories, in rc forums, and offering all sizes in early builders kit versions, via RC Groups, Yahoo Groups and via our web site http://www.micro-flight.com . The MIA Robin 280, and the MIA Falcon, a unique 2-legged sub-micro helicopter design, represented this early Electric Micro Heli entry while the MIA Bumble Bee represent the Sub-Micro Heli category and the MIA House FLY or MIA Palm-Size represented the Palm-Size Heli category.
