I believe many people misunderstand what travel agents do. Yes, we quote and book vacations. Yes, we make personalized itineraries and plans for you. Yes, this costs you NOTHING extra over booking it yourself.
However, we don't get paid if you don't book with us. We are not paid an hourly wage. We don't get paid for simply making a booking, spending time on a booking, or for research. We are only paid commission on trips we book and that you actually take (or in SOME situations, if paid in full). So that Disney vacation, cruise, all-inclusive resort stay, etc. that you book on your own - we could have booked it for the same price but you would have helped us build our business. AT NO COST TO YOU. Plus, you have an advocate for you. I couldn't tell you how many hours I have spent on some bookings to help make sure everything was taken care of. Booking with a travel agent is a win-win!
The cost of our commission is already included in the cost you pay, whether you use an agent or not. Essentially you are paying for a service you are not receiving."

That’s why you’re among the first to learn that, sadly, Empress of the Seas and Majesty of the Seas will soon be leaving the Royal Caribbean fleet. Through the years, Empress and Majesty have created incredible memories for so many of our guests and crew members. Many of your clients think fondly of these ships, and we know this will be a bittersweet goodbye. Their departure from the Royal Caribbean fleet is a major moment in our brand’s history and was a decision that was not made lightly. However, as our fleet evolves, decisions like these pave the way for the introduction of new and reimagined innovative ships. And if you’re wondering about crew members being impacted by this, rest assured they’ll be transferred to other ships in our fleet where unforgettable vacations will soon continue. With everything that has happened in the past few months, I hope everyone is safe and healthy. A lot of vacations were either put on hold or cancelled due to the covid pandemic, but it was for the best.

On a happy note cruise lines, and various vacation suppliers are slowly opening back up with social distancing restrictions. If you have any questions/concerns about booking trips or simply need help, let me know.
