New business here in Metaline Falls

Devin Tope is half owner and Operations Manager of Pend Oreille Ballistics. He is also a top notch gunsmith!

Devin retired from the Navy earlier this year as a Gunner's Mate First Class. He has 20 years of experience as a small arms repairman, has attended the US Navy Enhanced Armor's Course, is a small arms and machine gun instructor, is a graduate of the Expeditionary Smalls Arms Marksmanship Instructor Course and has attended the Sonora Desert Institute and Duracoat University.

As a hobby, for his friends, he has worked on just about every firearm action type, from modern fi****ms to historic weapons of war to family heirlooms.

If you have a firearm that hasn't worked in a while, I would be absolutely floored if Devin couldn't bring your firearm back into an operational status!

A TIP for buying used plastic kayaks.
it has scratches and gouges on the bottom check them out thoroughly. 
you can push on the bottom of the boat and it bends. It will be a slug in the water.
it’s missing foot pegs, rigging attachments seat or hatch covers. You probably won’t be able to find replacements. The seller probably already tried.
trust anyone who says it’s never been in the water.
top and bottom, and make sure it hasn’t been sitting in hot weather tied down hard to a car rack. It may have bends and bows from that. Very frustrating to paddle.
the seller won’t answer questions about it walk away.
the brand and name of the kayak to make sure of the sale price when new.

Other tips.
trust your life to a used PFD.
have a spare paddle, floating rope and a good emergency whistle.
a buddy on paddles.

Your going to want to be on the river early because the water is moving real slow.

Many years ago I had a group of ladies, mostly sisters, who I took down the river.
One of them arranged for a group of rough looking people to be at a camp spot on the river playing banjo music.
Not one of the ladies who needed to stop for bladder relief, swim or rehydrate would stop even when they were told it was a joke.
All I could do is grin at the younger sisters well planned prank.
She called the other day and is planning another trip.
No prank this time.
BUT She paid me to share this story.🤣

Due to extreme fire danger and dry conditions, all boat-in and dispersed campsites near the Boundary Hydroelectric Project Reservoir will be closed for overnight camping until further notice. Sites will be open for day-use only (dawn to dusk).

The Forebay Recreation Area located at Boundary Dam, including the campground, will continue to have all facilities open. The campground is first-come, first-served.

The statewide burn ban is currently in effect, prohibiting all outdoor burning, campfires, and the use of charcoal briquettes.

In case you missed it we change our hours a while back in 2019 while working on our web site and being forced to take up yahoo and google sites that had been created automatically by those entities and had wrong information.
We almost exclusively use Facebook for our business.

We have looked all over and can not find the hours recent reviews are claiming we have. What hours we have had listed we have tried to remove and now tried to delete those pages we don’t wish to upkeep. Apparently it is not possible in google, yahoo, b**g and other search engines.

If you could point them out to us we would appreciate it.
Please remember that many search engines make fake business sites for businesses who have no web presence with them.
We have no control over these sites and our google page came to being in the same manner and we claimed it to fix incorrect information on it.
