Our Story
The Miami Salsa Congress was founded in 2002 establishing Miami as one of only a handful of cities to host such an event at the time. Part music festival, part dance convention, the unique format of what is now commonly known as a “Salsa Congress” was in its early stages - but rapidly gaining international interest.
Hosting a Salsa Congress in Miami, a city with such deep latin roots, was an immediate success, more so on its second year when the event made its move to Miami Beach, where it has been hosted ever since.
Today, Salsa Congresses are hosted in hundreds of cities around the world, and on its 19th year, The MSC continues to be recognized as one of the original and biggest festivals of its kind on the East Coast of the United States, and among the top 5 Salsa congresses in the world.
