Thanks to Hurricane Idalia that hit above Tampa Bay, flamingos are seen along the Eastern Gulf from Sanibel to Tampa Bay area, then again in the Panhandle. Some even got blown up to Ohio.

Small flocks and single flamingos have been seen up and down the Sunshine State this week.

Invasive pythons are usually captured at night when they are most active. This monster measured almost 19 feet, more than 6 meters.

The snake measures at 19 feet long and tops the previous record of 18 feet, 10 inches from 2022. This python was captured in eastern Collier County.

On December 4, 1920, Joe Weiss opened his own restaurant that he called Joe’s Diner. He was formerly the chef at the Sunshine Inn, but left that position because of a change in ownership of the restaurant. Joe’s Diner was later renamed to Joe’s Stone Crab.
