This past week, Finotex had the pleasure to attend and sponsor the AAPN Codevi Tour in the Dominican Republic. During this week, AAPN members were taken to Codevi and attended lectures in important matters such as: sustainability, business in the DR free zone sector, free trade agreements and many more. We also got to tour the CODEVI park installations, which produces apparel such as underwear, synthetic products, athleisure, jeans, tactical wear and more.

Afterwards, we got to also enjoy the visit of these members into our own installations in Santiago de los Caballeros. The members got to know our Finotex Dominican Republic facility where we are currently expanding production capabilities and storage. They got an in-depth tour of our product offerings, capabilities, sustainable and inclusivity efforts. We also got to show them all of the RSC changes we’ve been implementing for the reduction of energy consumption and waste management.

After the tour, the members got to enjoy fresh food and drinks, as well as were gifted a kit that was handmade by a local female artisan with sustainable materials, embellished with our own Heat Transfers produced in these facilities.

It’s always a pleasure to receive visits of a group of people who are equally as invested in our industry as we are. We saw lot’s of interest in the sustainable efforts, as we can see a change of heightened importance within this matter. Manufacturers, vendors and brands across the world are making a conscious effort, knowing the role that we play in our communities, to make sustainability a pilar in our operations.

La semana pasada, Finotex tuvo el placer de asistir y patrocinar el AAPN Codevi Tour en República Dominicana. Durante esta semana, los miembros de la AAPN fueron llevados a Codevi y asistieron a charlas sobre temas importantes como: sustentabilidad, negocios en el sector de zonas francas de RD, tratados de libre comercio y muchos más. También pudimos recorrer las instalaciones del parque CODEVI, que produce prendas como ropa interior, productos sintéticos, athleisure, jeans, ropa táctica y más.

Posteriormente, pudimos disfrutar también de la visita de estos integrantes a nuestras propias instalaciones en Santiago de los Caballeros. Los miembros conocieron nuestras instalaciones de Finotex República Dominicana, donde actualmente estamos ampliando las capacidades de producción y almacenamiento. Obtuvieron un recorrido en profundidad de nuestras ofertas de productos, capacidades, esfuerzos sostenibles e inclusivos. También pudimos mostrarles todos los cambios de RSC que hemos estado implementando para la reducción del consumo de energía y la gestión de residuos.

Después del recorrido, los miembros pudieron disfrutar de alimentos y bebidas frescas, y también se les obsequió un kit hecho a mano por una artesana local con materiales sostenibles, adornado con nuestras propias transferencias de calor producidas en estas instalaciones.

Siempre es un placer recibir visitas de un grupo de personas que están tan comprometidas con nuestra industria como nosotros. Vimos mucho interés en los esfuerzos sostenibles, ya que podemos ver un cambio de mayor importancia en este asunto. Los fabricantes, proveedores y marcas de todo el mundo están haciendo un esfuerzo consciente, sabiendo el papel que desempeñamos en nuestras comunidades, para hacer de la sustentabilidad un pilar en nuestras operaciones.
