An art form created by kids in America has now reached every corner of the globe.
The progression of graffiti has been incredible. From its humble beginnings to now everything has evolved. From letter structure to paint and materials, it’s all rapidly advanced.
But at the end of the day, we’re all just kids writing our names on walls.

There are no words to describe the pain felt from losing a child. It is with the heaviest of hearts that we send our condolences to Mare139 and his family. Leo was a curious young man with a huge heart. His family loved him to no end. I know his father couldn’t stop gushing about him and would bring Leo up constantly. I’m so sorry for your loss my friend. May you find peace, and may Leo’s memory live forever.

We got a chance to catch up w Cyst and discuss his latest project in Little Havana. This top to bottom end to end mural is a tribute to Latin singers.
The location couldn’t be any better and the magic Cyst made on this wall… well, you gotta see it for yourself.

Meet

Johann Avendaño grew up in the west of Caracas. He discovered his passion for art by painting in the streets when he was 15 years old. He quickly began to understand that to in order to further his career that he would need a formal higher education so he soon there after graduated with a degree in Graphic Design. Johann has toured several countries to evolve his visual expression into something more universal. Using a combination of mixing traditional art techniques with graffiti he has perfected his unique style. Johann has worked with galleries in group shows as well as a variety of independent
projects. Avendaño's art and concepts seek to project modern art in this day and age. His inspirations
range from Baroque to Pop art.
