There maybe a possibility we will be closed on Thursday as well.

Please continue to monitor Hurricane Milton and heed advisory and warnings. As this storm is getting closer hopefully by now you have gotten to a safe location to weather the storm.

If you are visiting Florida and never experienced a hurricane, vehicle travel will get congested and dangerous, there will be gas shortages most everywhere.

In whatever county, city or town you are in watch the local forecast. The important thing is you and your family’s safety. If you are on vacation unfortunately you will have to reassess after the storm passes.

We pray for everyone’s safety and wellbeing during this serious weather event.

Due to the impending hurricane Milton now a category 5, which is barreling down on Florida. We will closed tomorrow and Wednesday.

Please watch the weather forecasts and advisories. During a hurricane is not the time to be out driving the roads. Stay safe.

Looks like we are in for another hurricane. Please take precautions and check the weather forecast regularly as this storm gets closer to Florida’s coast. Seeing as the storm made a slight shift south here at Buffalo Tiger Airboats we are paying close attention.

Safety for our staff and customers are paramount. If you have scheduled a tour with us this week, please understand if we have to reschedule you.

We now have Tropical Depression #14. Expected to reach 110mph before landfall into Florida. They note might nudge upward. Track thinking solid. Cone is where the eye could go. Impacts sometimes reach well outside the cone. Impacts for Florida's west coast, inland, and east coast coming next week. www.spaghettimodels.com

Our thoughts are with those impacted by the Hurricane. Please stay safe and adhere to warnings. After storms pass there still can be dangerous conditions from impact, especially in areas hard hit.

Buffalo’s will reopen tomorrow. Even though we were well out of the path, today we have been getting a lot of rain passing through, but winds not as gusty.

Though we only had sporadic rain so far, the winds have been very strong, not safe for airboating. Our airboats are smaller than some of our competitors who use larger airboats, so we have to be more cautious when it comes to wind and wind gusts.

Out of an abundance of caution, tomorrow 9/26 we will be closed due to expected weather conditions as a result of Hurricane Helene.

The safety of our customers and staff are important to us.

Please monitor the weather and stay safe. Head any weather related alerts issued the local and state agencies.

Though South Florida may not get a direct hit, wind and heavy storms can also cause severe damage and safety concerns.

For those of you seeking an airboat tour, please check the weather forecast in the surrounding area. We have been getting rain showers in the afternoon, please come prepared ie; rain coats.

If conditions are not safe ie; lightning, we may have to wait to depart later or reschedule tour.

On this day August 13th, we sighted new gator “hatchlings” for off the north corner of Tear Island in Water Conservation Area 3A that we stop at during our tours.

We are so happy these eggs survived. We have been worried because Water Conservation Area 3A has been above regulation schedule “water” for this time of year for over a month now.

The alligators nested when water levels were lower and before rainy season started 3 months back. So quite a few nest were set very low and these heavy rains made the water shoot up quickly dramatically putting many nest at risk of flooding.

Many of the turtles nests on the tree islands have already drowned.

According to the State, gators just starting to nest as is typical for June/July and the above regulations schedule is not of a concern to them at this time.

Gators in southern 3A for several years now have been nesting 2 to 3 months before the “accepted” June/July.

We need data from what’s occurring now. Regions maybe different and maybe gators further north are still June/July, but not down here.

Animals adjust accordingly to nature. Not to how humankind manipulates the natural cycle of water.

While we were shut down last month we did some spring cleaning around the location.

We pulled out this old painting from storage. That we honestly didn’t realize was in our storage area. It was behind a lot of other stuff. This was an original by the late Buffalo Tiger. We cleaning it up and recoating to protect it from the elements so we can put it on display with a little sign with information about Mr. Tiger.

This time of year soft shell turtles come up on to the tree islands to lay their eggs. This one was a pretty good size turtle.
