We’re still figuring out the flow of weekend trips in our Entegra Coach, but if there’s one thing we’ve learned fast—it’s this: a checklist is essential. As weekend warriors, we’re not stocked full-time, so we’re constantly packing some items from the house and restocking essentials before each adventure. 🏡
To keep things organized (and to avoid forgetting the condiments again ), we’ve broken packing into 4 main categories:
🔧 1. Function (a.k.a. what keeps the RV rolling and running):
Think: Power cords, hoses, tool kit, tire pressure gauge, gloves, and our “just in case” stash (like duct tape, zip ties, and fuses).
💦 2. Wear & Get Ready (because we still need to look and feel human):
Clothes based on weather and activities (always pack a layer or two extra!), toiletries, towels, sunscreen, bug spray, and any must-haves from the bathroom drawer. Peep our amazing closet area in the bedroom!
🍳 3. Cook & Eat (arguably the most important):
Meal plan basics: we plan ahead on what our meals will look like & what we need (our grill comes in so handy!), utensils, pans, dishes, and of course, snacks.
🛏️ 4. Comfort & Activities (to make it feel like home):
Bedding, pillows, blankets, games, books, & camp chairs to name a few. These little touches make it feel cozy and help us unplug and enjoy each other.
Each trip we refine the system and update our list. And honestly? The prep is part of the fun—it builds the anticipation of a weekend on the road.
