The Boonsboro Historical Society is delighted to present "The Life and Times of Edward Mobley", by author Justin Mayhue. This presentation will be held at the Boonsboro Free Library, 401 Potomac St., Boonsboro, MD on April 23rd, 2024, at 5:30 pm.

Edward Mobley was the sheriff of Washington County at the beginning of the war. He formed Co.A 7th MD. He entered the war as a captain. Mobley rose to the rank of major. After the war he was promoted to colonel for gallantry in action. He was wounded twice. Nearly everyone in Hagerstown knew Mobley in the mid to late 1800's.

Justin Mayhue is a certified Battlefield Guide at Antietam, South Mountain and Harpers Ferry. Past president and board member of the Hagerstown Civil War Roundtable. Author of six books including today's topic Colonel Edward Mobley. Curator of the Hagerstown Firefighting Museum. Docent with the Boonsboro Museum of History. Retired battalion chief in Hagerstown. Past fire chief and president of the Longmeadow VolunteerFire Company and currently an active firefighter with over 46 of service.

Grab your best foodie friend and join Charcuterie by Randi, LLC as she instructs you on how to create a beautiful charcuterie board on April 27. In this workshop, you will learn cheese selection, pairing options, slicing techniques, and presentation skills.

The workshop includes all materials needed to create a 9-inch charcuterie board. The board will be on a disposable bamboo tray, easy to take home and share with friends. The class will also include a box to take your board home with you (if it makes it that long!). Please note that unless otherwise notified the items in the workshop can include but are not limited to nuts, gluten, dairy, etc.

The ticket price includes entry for two, all materials needed to create a 9-inch charcuterie board, and a pairing flight of Big Cork wine including a white, rose, and red wine.
