Learn to Swim 6 and Up

Swim lessons at camp! As part of your camper’s programming in grades 1st-3rd, campers will receive group swim lessons at camp taught in a fun, engaging way!

The Camp Coconuts swim lesson program is based on the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim program. Each child will be assessed and placed into one of the six comprehensive levels. Our trained and caring instructors will guide each student to reach their goals encouraging them to push themselves to their fullest potential.

This program aims to teach swimmers how to be comfortable in the water and to swim skillfully and safely. Each level of the Learn-to-Swim program includes training in basic water safety and helping others in an emergency. Each level improves on skills taught in the previous levels through additional guided practice.

We wanted to officially thank Dr. Dean of Urgent Paws: Pet Urgent Care in Middletown, NJ. This veterinary contacted us regarding our last Santa letter this year. The letter was from a 7-year-old boy and his mom, who have two sick dogs they hoped "Santa" could help. After contacting dozens of vets with no luck, Dr. Dean from Urgent Paws in Middletown, NJ contacted us late at night, right before Christmas Eve, to volunteer his services to treat both service dogs. Our organization, Project Mrs. Claus, was also able to gift the family a full Christmas with presents. This was definitely a Christmas miracle, as it was very last-minute and almost impossible. In the coming days or weeks, when the family or Dr. Dean updates us on the outcome, we will update further. We are sure the animals are in the kindest, most capable hands. 🙌

Emergency Christmas help needed! Angels are you out there? This is a super last-minute request. An autistic boy and his mom were homeless for 7 months. They were forced to put their service dogs in a kennel. They are now in a hotel and have their animals back (two service dogs) one for mom with PSTD and one for her son who is severely autistic and bangs his head on the wall and spins constantly (which his dog helps with)
They dogs came back very sick one lost 65 pounds. The other has a very bad ear infection.
They are asking for nothing from our charity just help for their dogs this Christmas.

Please tag any vets you know that might help. We need this today.

if we happen to get enough funds in and also get a pro bono vet then we will send them a few more gifts . Normally we would try for both but this is way past the deadline and we are just hoping we can at least get the child his dog stabilized.
