My daughter LOVES the Jurassic movies and, even though she’s not a big thrill rider, she couldn’t wait to experience The Velocicoaster! 🎢

We expected to have to line up early on our second day, but when we got to the parks that first afternoon, the line wasn’t bad. It was dusk when we entered the queue and totally dark when our coaster left the building. 😳 WHAT A RIDE!!!

It’s TACO TUESDAY!! 🌮 One of my very favorite quick service food options at Universal Orlando is the Bumblebee Man’s Taco Truck. You can find this in Springfield at Universal Studios. There are a few different types of tacos, each coming with chips and salsa. My favorite is the pulled pork. Yum! 😋 Grab your tacos then walk over to Central Park (just behind Doc Brown’s train) for a lovely and peaceful spot of shade — or sun! Whichever you prefer. 😊

EPCOT’s annual International Flower and Garden Festival begins today!! This annual celebration will run through July 4th, and it’s not just fun for horticulturalists. If you think the detail of Batuu is incredible, just imagine Disney taking that to levels beyond. The Galactic Starcruiser —(the “Star Wars hotel”)— opened this week for first peeks. Some of our favorite influencers got invites and have already shared videos and reviews. Y’ALL… This thing looks AMAZING!!! 😳🤯😲 It is truly an IMMERSIVE experience like no other!!

Is Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa at the top of your favorite places to stay? If you’re planning to visit this year, I recommend locking in that vacation NOW.

I’ve just learned that a major renovation will be starting there this week. Select buildings will be closed while they update rooms and facilities. This won’t impact guests too much; work will be done during select hours so as to minimize disruption. But this does mean capacity and room availability will be limited. My sources tell me this project will last into late Spring or early Summer 2023.

Oh, how I love Universal Orlando! ✨🌎✨ Let me count the reasons…

1️⃣ Wizarding World of Harry Potter! ⚡️
It’s AMAZING!! So much detail.

2️⃣ It’s CONVENIENT!
All the hotels and parks are close together making it super easy to hop around and change plans.

3️⃣ Grown-up rides and attractions.
We’re talking *real* roller coasters. 😉🎢 Fantastic simulators! Springfield! Nostalgia! Bourne!

4️⃣ Great stuff for the littles too!
Seuss Landing! Minions! Dora and Diego! Curious George and Feival playgrounds! Splash parks!

5️⃣ Great food!!!
This point needs its own post. 😂😋

6️⃣ Great hotels at great prices!

7️⃣ LAID BACK.

🚨ATTENTION!!🚨 Disney had just announced changes to the health policies in the parks.

BEGINNING FEBRUARY 17th… Face coverings will be optional for fully vaccinated guests in both outdoor and indoor locations. 😃Guests who are not fully vaccinated are expected to continue wearing face coverings in all indoor locations, including indoor attractions and theaters. 😷 Face coverings are still required by all Guests (ages 2 and up) on enclosed Disney transportation, including Disney buses, monorails, and Disney Skyliner.

TOP THREE DRINKS at DIAGON ALLEY:

1️⃣ Otter’s Fizzy Orange Juice
This is a soft carbonated vanilla-orange beverage. My favorite part: the gorgeous cinnamon rim! It’s like drinking a cold orange-apple cider. DELISH!! Definitely my #1. 🥇

(Psst! Those yummy pockets pictured with it? Those are Beef Pasties. They’re kinda like British empanadas and so yummy, especially on a cold day. I’ll talk more about Universal food in a future post. 😋)

2️⃣ Tongue Tying Lemon Smash 🍋
I cannot stand fake lemonade, and you’ll find it everywhere in the theme parks. This is a fabulous FRESH lemonade! SO GOOD.

3️⃣ Hot Butterbeer! 🍺
Okay, if you didn’t already know, you can get butterbeer in several forms: cold, frozen, hot…even fudge or ice cream! My personal favorite —coming in the #3 spot— is Hot Butterbeer. It’s like a rich, butterscotch white hot chocolate.

TAKE NOTE: You cannot get HOT Butterbeer at the street carts! You can only find this at Three Broomsticks or The Hopping Pot in Diagon Alley. (In Hogsmead, the only place that offers it is Hog’s Head Pub.)
