What makes us different from a lot of investors out there? Mostly, it’s how we like to run our business. We’re a local, family-owned business based out of Cottonwood Heights and we’ve been helping home sellers for 14 years.
My name is Brian Pitcher (I’m the guy on the right.) That’s Kelly Nieves, my right-hand-man standing to my...uh...left...we could have planned that a little better! I’ve been in real esate full-time since 2004. I bought my first investment property while I was still in college at the U of U. Since then, our team has closed close to 1000 transactions.
I had a few good years and them the market crashed in 2008. I saw a lot of people get out of the business during those years. But there were so many home owners who really needed help getting out from under homes they could no longer afford.
I decided to specialize in Short Sales. (That’s where you convince the bank to let you sell the home for less that is owed...and...get the bank to ‘forgive’ the unpaid balance. (They’re kind of like Ebenezer Scrooge before he turned into a nice guy!)
Between 2009-2013 I became one of the top Short Sale Experts in the State. We often helped 50-60 clients at a time. It was crazy hours and a LOT of hard work (if you’ve ever negotiated against a bank, you know what I mean!)
Then in 2013 everything changed. First, I was already noticing that there were a lot of people we couldn’t help using ‘traditional’ real estate solutions. Second, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and had to undergo two brain surgeries. Yep...that will change your perspective real fast.
I decided two things...
First, I really wanted to help people in a more meaningful way. (And I was committed to spending more time with my two girls. who were really little at the time.) Second, I decided to become a full-time investor.
Why?
Things like...folks who had gotten hurt or sick, and couldn’t take care of thier home anymore. They needed to sell, but they couldn’t afford to do a bunch of clean-up and repairs. Heck, most of the time they didn’t have the money...or even the ability to do that stuff. They needed to sell thier home as-is for a fair price.
We are able to purchase those homes, and offer some really helpful solutions. Things like a quick close...but with flexible move-out dates...so they had time to find new living arangements.
As investors, we often help people catch up on mortgage payments so that they can avoid having a foreclosure on their credit. Then we offer them a fair price for thier home and even help with things like hauling off items they don’t want to keep.
We even help landlords who have REALLY DAMAGED properties. Things like m**h contamination and deliberate vandalism that would just cost TOO much to repair...
And of course, we help people who find themselves in charge of selling inherited homes that are outdated and in need of a lot of repairs. (Oftentimes, the homes are also FILLED with a lifetime’s worth of stuff that they just don’t want to deal with.)
We even do all the hauling and cleaning for you. You don’t need to fix or clean a thing. You just take the belongings you want to keep...and leave the rest! We do all the hauling and removal for free.
We work with each client personally and will never "pass" them off for another office to deal with. Our everyday knowledge of this market equips us to understand the needs of our neighbors (like you). Our clients appreciate that we can eliminate the paperwork, time, red tape, and commission required to sell a home through a real estate agent.
