Safety practices should be observed to enjoy this natural landmark; however, it can give you a once in a lifetime opportunity to get off your bucket list “walking to an island”. Soooo, we did a thing! After years of having our wooden sculpture as our Instagramable spot in the backyard, we decided to remove it aaaand...make a mural! Now, @tandoori.chick (aka. Me) has done many paintings, but never a mural. The sensible thing to do was to use a projector. What happened is that neither of the projectors we had was bright enough to project in a sunny day 🌞. And we had a time-frame, so free-handing it was a GO! 🎨 🖌 CRAZY amount of work! 3 hours for a chalk outline! The underpainting took a total of 7 hours. Stay tuned for Part 2 to see the finished product. Hopefully, our guests at Walnut Beach Cottage would love it as much as we so ❤️ 💙 💜
