The Disney Dining Plan. What is it and is it worth it?Part 5.

Now that I have given you some information on the Disney dining plan and how it works, and if you missed the first parts of my series, check my profile to see parts 1-4, how do you feel about the dining plan?

There are a lot more components to the dining plan, like what counts as a snack and which restaurants participate in the dining plan. Best way to get that info would be to go to disneyworld.disney.go.com and there you will find more extensive lists!

Ultimately this is something you will have to decide whether it's worth it for your party or not. If your kids are happy with eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for every meal, then maybe the dining plan is not for your family.

For my family, it's worth it since we have two growing boys that eat everything and one big boy, me, that can't get enough Disney food!😄

If you want to give your Disney vacation more of an all-inclusive experience and don't want to worry about paying for your meals while you're there, then the dining plan will make that happen. But if you want to get the most bang for your buck, use your credits wisely.... can we say steak and lobster for every meal?! 😂

Want to slow down a little and savor special family moments over sit-down meals—or watch the kids light up during Character Dining? Then the Disney Dining Plan is the perfect choice to experience classic dining options at both Quick-Service and Table-Service restaurants, including Character Dining locations.

What’s Included:

Everyone in the party ages 3 and over receives the following:

-1 Quick-Service Meal
-1 Table-Service Meal
-1 Snack/Nonalcoholic Drink
-1 Resort-Refillable Drink Mug

Reservations at Table-Service restaurants are subject to availability and highly recommended.

Two table-service meals will be redeemed from the dining plan for each person dining at a Fine/Signature Dining experience, select Character Dining experience or a Dinner Show. The Quick-service dining plan is for families on the go all day, this is a fast and easy meal plan option—especially when you have little ones in tow.
With the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan you can dine at a variety of Quick-Service locations when you’re ready to stop and enjoy a casual meal. Just order at a counter or register and then find a seat—no dining reservations required!

What’s Included:

Everyone in the party ages 3 and over receives:
-2 Quick-Service Meals (per night of stay)
-1 Snack/Nonalcoholic Drink (per night of stay)
-1 Resort-Refillable Drink Mug

Some important details:
-Beverages are included with each meal. Guests 21 and older with valid ID may substitute for beer, wine and cocktails.
-Guests ages 3 to 9 must order from a children’s menu, where available.
-Plan must be purchased for entire length of stay and for the entire party (ages 3 and up).

Table service meals are not included with this option or special dining experiences. The price per adult per day comes to $57.01 and $23.83 per child.

How can you get the dining plan?

You can purchase a vacation package for arrivals on or after January 9. If you already have a vacation package for 2024 and you want to add the dining plan, you can visit "My plans" on the Disney website and upgrade to a vacation package that includes the dining plan.

How do I use the dining plan?

Step one: Choose a restaurant. Review a list of restaurants participating in your dining plan. You can find that information on disneyworld.disney.go.com
Step two: Show ID. Present your valid Disney resort ID, which could be your Magicband, Disney Magic Mobile pass or Key to the World card, to your server or cashier at participating restaurants.
Step three: Track it. 3 ways to do that are:
-use my Disney experience app
-check your most recent dining receipt
-visit resort concierge or guest relations and ask about remaining credits
