Scam alert, I received a text message this morning saying I owe money and because we were just in Portland I called. Knowing that a paid all tolls in cash I was wondering what was up so I called the Toll authority. They said they don't text messages and it's a scam.

Yesterday, I got a call from a husband and wife who were NOBO on the AT. They were looking to get off the trial because he had fallen and either broke or cracked some ribs. They were relying on a hiker app to figure out where they were. 7 hrs later I had them in my truck heading to a hostel for some much needed r&r. In the Maine woods, there is no substitute for a paper map or hiker guide.
