Looking back when Sydney was pregnant with little Max She was huge and we thought she was going to have twins! Sydney was with Mystique and she always stood to the back.. Never seemed very happy to me. Then right after she had Max.. I watched Little Socks come in a swooped her away from Mystique! I thought oh no poor Sydney now what!! Well it ended up being wonderful for Sydney and Max! Little Socks has been the best pop to Maxy and very loving to Sydney 8.11.18 💞💘
Today Sydney is with Carson’s band
Maxy is all grown up with a band of his own
And lil Socks has a band of his own.

So much fun spending time with Jenny, Barbara and Gerry touring the range! Sharing stories and seeing our wild horses! It was a chilly windy evening and the horses were all hunkered down in the canyons! They are all getting fuzzy and chubby! All Ready for winter 🥶 ❄️

I noticed and then Cheryl Broumley noticed… I wonder if anyone else noticed?

Cheryl took this photo of Lady saying hello to Rosebud. She said “Lady needs some girl time.” A few days earlier I videoed Blue and Lady observing Puddin and Butterscotch. Some felt they wanted to steal Butterscotch. But I felt they wanted Puddin. Lady was as connected to Blue as she could be. With Keanu gone she needs some girl time. A day or two later, Kirk showed another video of Puddin and the baby and sure enough… there was Lady and Blue. I think we all see it. Let’s watch and see if anything happens. It is not usual for a mare to go say hi to a mare from another band. I suspect this was an invite from Lady and Blue to Rosebud. She is in Little Socks band and she is Little Socks half sister. Her mother, Rose was one of Blues mares, but we have no reason to believe she is related to him.

Lady needs some girl time! Let’s send good vibes her way.

Our Pine Nut Wild Horses are world wild famous!!
Nathalie and Julian came to visit our horses all the way from Switzerland 🥰
Nathalie knows all about our horses! And all the stories!! She would tell me stories about them 🥰. Super fun!!

I have been having a total blast sharing our wild horses with lots of wonderful folks!! The thunder, lightning and rain… down pours.. has been way above normal! When this happens the wild horses head up high and hunker down in the canyons. Making them hard to find!
We headed up to Blues Valley I can see a couple horses and right away I went there’s Blue.
As we get closer we all yelled out it’s Keanu and his band!! Yay!!

This is my favorite photo of Rocket by Cheryl Broumley. I still can't believe this is the same boney horse that BLM was hand feeding and trying to get into the corral when they trapped the 18. What a loss it would have been if he had taken the bait. He had his winter coat on so he looked like a plain bay horse. His backbone was protruding and he was covered with scars from fighting for mares. He was exhausted, thin and I worried when we didn't see him for awhile. But here he is, Mustang strong, and now a band stallion with four lovely mares and the only foal on the range . Rocket is a son of Zorro and out of Brandy. His grandmother is Wilma. So many ties and connections on the range.
