Departing from Lucasville at 5am, we'll head to Port Clinton where we'll catch the Millers Ferry to the island. Once there, you'll have the entire day to explore and enjoy everything Put-In-Bay has to offer!
Golf carts are a popular way to get around the island, so we highly recommend renting one. I have a $5 off coupon too! You are responsible for this. And remember, the last ferry back to Port Clinton is at 9pm, so plan accordingly! We will leave after the last ferry drop off.

Get signed up for this trip. It’s going to be a fun one! Close to home, but you will feel like you are on a tropical island.

Take the ferry to the island and grab your golf cart ( we got a $5 off coupon for you!)
Sightsee, play put-put golf, visit the winery’s, rent a kayak, and visit Crystal Cave! This is the world’s largest geode and boasts walls covered in crystals that shimmer in various hues of purple and white.

There so much to do in one day!

Replacing the overnight NYC Trip, we are going to run a
Red Eye bus trip to the Big Apple! 🗽
DATES: April 12-14. 2024
PRICE: $200 per person. $75 deposit with remainder due by 4/1.
DEPARTURE: Waverly, Ohio Walmart
We will go with A MIN of 40 travelers! Seats will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. Must pay deposit to secure seat.

ITINERARY:
🗓 Friday, April 12th
Depart from Waverly, Ohio Walmart at 7pm with occasional stops for stretching and restroom breaks.

🗓 Saturday, April 13th
We'll make a stop at a travel center before we get to NYC for showers and freshening up. Arriving in NYC around 7-8 AM, you'll have the entire day to explore the city at your own pace, from dining and shopping to other exciting activities. We'll regroup at 10 PM to board the bus for our journey back home.

🗓 Sunday, December 17th:
We'll return to Waverly, Ohio Walmart Sunday morning, with stops for stretching and restroom breaks along the way.

ABOUT THE BUS: Buses are equipped with comfy seats, free Wi-Fi, power outlets at each seat to keep your phone and laptop charged, and cupholders for your drinks. A restroom is also onboard.

The entire day is yours to enjoy as you wish. Explore the Biltmore House and its beautiful grounds, and take part in various activities.
**** The Biltmore provides a Biltmore Express shuttle service for transportation within its estate, and it comes at an extra cost that is not included in your initial purchase. The shuttle service will be made available to you at a discounted group rate. Please note that the group rates for the shuttle in March have not been finalized yet. The standard ticket price for the shuttle is $15, but I will share the group rate details with you as soon as they become available.
🚌 Return to Asheville:
The bus will make a pick-up at Biltmore Estate around 4:30 pm to transport you to downtown Asheville.
In Asheville, you'll have the freedom to shop, explore, and have dinner at your leisure.
🚌 Departure from Asheville:
We'll be leaving downtown Asheville at 8:00 pm.
🕰 Flexibility:
If you prefer to leave Biltmore Estates earlier than 4:30 pm or stay later, you're welcome to do so. However, please make sure to return to downtown Asheville by 8:00 pm. You can use services like Uber or Lyft for transportation back.

What is The Biltmore? Who built it??

George Washington Vanderbilt II inherited $2 Million from his grandfather, the Commodore, upon his death in 1877. He -
also received a gift of $1 Million for his 21st Birthday and upon his father’s death in 1885 he received $10 Million more from the estate worth roughly $200 Million. At the age of 23 his inheritance was worth roughly $500 Million in today’s money.

He build many homes, but his most famous house and the biggest private home ever built in the USA is Biltmore.

George died in 1914 from complications following an appendectomy at the age of 51. Two years prior he narrowly escaped death by canceling plans to travel on the Titanic at the last minute.

At the time of his death, George Vanderbilt had burned through all his cash. Half of his inheritance was in a trust where he couldn’t touch the principal but still had monthly income. He also had real estate in NYC. His wife was able to keep the Biltmore by selling off part of the huge estate. His descendants still own the mansion and run it as a business through tours and agriculture on the remaining estate.

We are fortunate that this house still stands as many estates of that era have been destroyed, in some cases just to avoid taxes.
