🇺🇸 This is one of the most beautiful things that happens every day at Magic Kingdom and Disneyland parks!
🎖️The Flag Retreat Ceremony is a moving musical tribute to our country’s veterans for their service, sacrifice and dedication to protecting our country!
🎺 After saying The Pledge of Allegiance, the flag is lowered, while “The Star-Spangled Banner” and other patriotic songs are played by the band. The flag is this folded and presented to a veteran. Veterans are chosen daily at random.
⭐️ To increase the odds of being chosen for this ceremony, here are a few suggestions:
• Wear a t-shirt or hat to show your military service.
• Arrive EARLY to Magic Kingdom for Rope Drop, as veterans are usually chosen very early in the day. This is most likely right as you enter on Main Street U.S.A.
• Enagage with Cast Members and mention your interest in this tradition and that you are a veteran!
•Family & Friends could head to City Hall and inquire about nominating their special veteran as a back up plan. *This is not a guarantee, but may send some extra pixie dust your way! Always worth a try.

This was a first! Last week, Powerline Max & Goofy we’re in the lines cracking up guests with some old school shenanigans! Goofy squeezing that rubber chicken and just being hilarious! 😆 Soo much fun! It should have been a sign we’re we’re IN for a wild ride!
