🍿Happy National Popcorn Day from the Disney Fantasy!

🍿 Did you know you can purchase a popcorn bucket like this for $9 and then refills are only $1.75 on Disney Cruise Line ships!?

🍿Refills do have a limit, but it’s a LOT, and they will add gratuity to your refills, but that is okay with me!
Bring on the popcorn!

🥤 TIP: Fill your large insulated bottle with pop or lemonade for free at the stations (🍭and bring movie theater candy from home!). Smaller containers or paper bags make it easier to share & refill! Add these to your packing lists!

🚢 I just returned from Anja’s Sr Trip on the Disney Fantasy!!

🏝️It was a beautiful 5 night sailing with stops in Nassau, Disney’s Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point and Disney’s Castaway Cay!!

🌀 Preparing for Milton!

⌛️ I have been in Walt Disney World all week working with the Hourglass Events side of Hourglass Travel & and Events.

☑️It has already been so interesting to watch how calmly Disney handles an incoming hurricane. It is a well oiled machine of peocedures. Floridians come HERE when they evacuate, so we are feeling really well about where we are, but please keep the rest of Florida in your prayers.

💭PSA: Your kids WILL remember the memories you give them even when they are little!!

👧🏼I was 2 years old (1979) the first time I visited Magic Kingdom! I remember all the funny stories my parents used to tell as we looked through photos!

🎞️… And WE had film you needed to develop! All the videos, photos & fun we have now on our phones makes memory collecting EASY!

🤩You know it’s going to be a good day when it starts with Oswald- The Lucky Rabbit!

Did you know that Oswald was one Walt Disney’s first beloved characters? Sadly, he found out on a trip to NYC to renew his contract that Universal Studios actually owned the rights to Oswald. Crushed, he returned to Hollywood to create a new character…. Mickey Mouse!

👏My favorite part of this story: Bob Iger, Disney CEO, made an agreement with NBCUniversal in 2006 that would bring Oswald back to The Walt Disney Company. Knowing how important Oswald was to the Disney family and the company’s legacy—traded the contract of sportscaster Al Michaels to NBC for the rights to the character.

🇺🇸 This is one of the most beautiful things that happens every day at Magic Kingdom and Disneyland parks! 🎖️The Flag Retreat Ceremony is a moving musical tribute to our country’s veterans for their service, sacrifice and dedication to protecting our country! 🎺 After saying The Pledge of Allegiance, the flag is lowered, while “The Star-Spangled Banner” and other patriotic songs are played by the band. The flag is this folded and presented to a veteran. Veterans are chosen daily at random. ⭐️ To increase the odds of being chosen for this ceremony, here are a few suggestions: • Wear a t-shirt or hat to show your military service. • Arrive EARLY to Magic Kingdom for Rope Drop, as veterans are usually chosen very early in the day. This is most likely right as you enter on Main Street U.S.A. • Enagage with Cast Members and mention your interest in this tradition and that you are a veteran! •Family & Friends could head to City Hall and inquire about nominating their special veteran as a back up plan. *This is not a guarantee, but may send some extra pixie dust your way!
