The Greek Island to visit when you want all the beauty but none of the chaos, that would be (drumroll please)..... Naxos.

When most people think of the Greek Islands they picture a Santorini sunset or nightlife in Mykonos, but let me tell you a little bit more about Naxos, because I’m in love!

Naxos has golden beaches to kick back and relax on, cute little mountain villages to stroll through, and of course, all of the gorgeous sunsets and delicious Greek food like the other islands.

When clients want to hop through the Greek Islands but want a bit more of a peaceful experience, I always recommend Naxos as a pitstop.

* Stunning Beaches – Naxos boasts some of the best beaches in Greece, with soft golden sand and crystal-clear waters. Agios Prokopios, Plaka, and Agia Anna are must-visits!

* Rich History & Culture – Explore ancient ruins like the iconic Portara (Temple of Apollo) and the medieval Old Town with its Venetian Castle.

* Authentic Greek Cuisine – Enjoy local specialties like Naxian cheese, fresh seafood, and mouthwatering dishes made with locally grown ingredients. The island is known for its high-quality potatoes and Kitron liqueur.

* Outdoor Adventures – Hike up Mount Zas, the highest peak in the Cyclades, for breathtaking views, or explore traditional villages like Apeiranthos and Halki.

* Less Crowded & More Affordable – Compared to Mykonos and Santorini, Naxos offers a more relaxed, authentic Greek island experience with better value for accommodations and dining.

It’s perfect!

As far as planning goes, I can help with laying out your itinerary and getting the logistics booked (things like hotels, cultural tours, ferry tickets, etc).

Have you been to Naxos? What did you think of the island?

Spring flings aren’t just about romance. Sometimes they’re about falling in love with a place.

You know the feeling. That moment when you step off the plane, take a deep breath, and instantly know — this place is special. Maybe it’s the way the sun hits the water, the charm of a little café tucked on a quiet street, or the way the locals make you feel like you belong.

For me, that place was the Big Island of Hawaii. One visit, and I was hooked. I found myself daydreaming about it long after I’d unpacked my bags. For me it was the perfect blend of amazing topography, gorgeous beaches, stunning views, the ocean breeze, and the local traditions.

Iceland in the summer feels like a cheat code for adventure. From late May to early August, the sun never fully sets.

No rushing to squeeze everything in before dark, no cutting your day short—just endless golden light stretching way past midnight.

That means you can be standing under Seljalandsfoss at 11 PM, hiking a volcanic trail long after dinner, or floating in a geothermal lagoon while the sky glows in shades of pink and gold.

It’s not just about seeing Iceland, it’s about experiencing it without the usual time constraints.

But fair warning, this is the kind of trip you don’t want to wing.

The best experiences happen when you know where to go, when to go, and how to make the most of those extra hours of daylight.

That’s where I come in. I plan Iceland trips that aren’t just about ticking off sights, they’re about getting you in the right place at the right time for the most unreal moments.

So if you’re into the idea of exploring one of the most otherworldly places on Earth — at literally any hour of the day — let’s talk. DM me, and let’s make Iceland happen.

What’s the REAL Difference Between a three, four, and five-star hotel?
Let me break it down for you:

⭐ 3-Star Hotels – Think Holiday Inn, Courtyard by Marriott.
Three-star hotels major on being the comfortable & functional option for travelers. Expect on-site dining, standard rooms, and solid service, but don’t count on luxury perks like room service or spas.

⭐ 4-Star Hotels – Think Westin, Hyatt Regency, Kimpton.
Four-star hotels are a step up in style, service & amenities. You’ll find upscale décor, concierge service, multiple dining options, pools & fitness centers. Rooms are typically more spacious with premium bedding.

⭐ 5-Star Hotels – Think Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis.
This is the ultimate luxury experience. Expect personalized service, Michelin-star dining, designer interiors, world-class spas, and exclusive experiences. The difference? Every detail is crafted around your comfort, privacy, and experience

Pro Tip: Star ratings aren’t always universal.
A 4-star hotel in Europe might feel more like a 3.5-star in the U.S. (or vice versa). That’s where expert guidance truly does come in to help you find the right fit for you.

If you’ve been on the fence about a certain hotel, send me a DM and let’s chat about how I can match you to the best properties for your style and budget.

You know that first perfect spring day? Real Spring; not fake Spring like we have had MANY times this year in MN. ;-)

The one where you step outside, and the sun actually feels warm? It’s like the world is waking up, and suddenly, you remember what it’s like to sit outside with a coffee, take a walk just because, or plan something fun for the months ahead.

That feeling?

It’s the same one I get when I help people plan their next getaway. The kind of trip that makes you excited just thinking about it. The kind that reminds you how good it feels to break out of routine and just go.

So, let’s play a game—if you could be anywhere in the world right now, soaking up that sunshine, where would it be? Drop it in the comments! ☀️

Everyone’s crammed into the same hotspots, fighting for the best photo angles and dinner reservations. But you? You’re sipping wine at a quiet seaside café, wandering cobblestone streets all to yourself.

Let’s talk about my favorite spots this year that’ll give you that European summer, but without the overpriced cocktails and shoulder-to-shoulder crowds.

➡️ Tavira, Portugal
If the Algarve is on your radar but the packed beaches aren’t, Tavira is your spot. It’s got all the euro charm — cobblestone streets, a medieval castle, flamingos (!) in the salt marshes, and quiet, golden-sand beaches like Praia do Barril. Plus, your budget will go so much further here than in the typical Algarve hotspots.

➡️ Kotor, Montenegro
While everyone flocks to Dubrovnik, Kotor quietly sits on one of the most stunning bays in Europe. Picture dramatic mountain backdrops, winding medieval streets, and scenic hikes that reward you with jaw-dropping views over the Bay of Kotor, without the Game of Thrones crowds. Bonus: it’s super affordable compared to Croatia.

➡️ Castellina in Chianti, Italy
Everyone rushes to Florence and Siena, but Castellina in Chianti is one of those hilltop towns where you can still enjoy a glass of wine without battling selfie sticks. Surrounded by rolling vineyards, medieval walls, and some of the best Tuscan food you’ll ever eat, it’s a quiet little escape in the heart of Chianti wine country.

➡️ Šibenik, Croatia
Dubrovnik might get all the attention, but Šibenik? So underrated. Šibenik has a thriving food scene, with fresh seafood and local wines that rival its more famous neighbors. Plus, it’s the perfect base for taking a boat trip through Krka National Park, where you can actually swim under waterfalls.

Which one’s calling your name this summer? Let me know in the comments! ⬇️

Ever thought about taking a solo trip, only to immediately hit yourself with an “uhhh… is this a terrible idea?” moment?

I get it.

Stepping out of your comfort zone isn’t exactly a walk in the park (unless, of course, you’re taking a solo stroll through a park in Paris, in which case, chef’s kiss).

And let’s be real, traveling alone as a woman comes with questions, mostly along the lines of:

Will I be safe?
Will I get lonely?
Who’s going to watch my bag when I need a bathroom break?

But here’s the thing, solo travel is like the ultimate main character energy moment.

No compromises.
No “where do you want to eat?” debates.
No waiting for someone else to get their vacation days approved.

Just you, doing exactly what you want, when you want, and realizing you’re way more capable than you gave yourself credit for.

And it doesn’t have to be some epic, multi-country expedition.

Maybe it’s just a spontaneous weekend getaway at a luxury hotel where you don’t have to worry about cooking a thing and can finally dig into that book that’s been on your nightstand for months.

The point is, it‘s *your* adventure, and sometimes, the best company you can have is yourself.

So, for the solo travelers out there, what’s the best thing you’ve learned from traveling alone? Spill your wisdom in the comments!

For me, spring break isn’t just about the destination — it’s about the rituals and routines that get you there:

👉 Packing a little too much but forgetting the ONE thing I actually need.

👉 Watching my favorite movie (again) on the flight

👉 That first sip of coffee or cocktail when the vacation officially kicks off (is there anything better?)

Tell me, what are you looking forward to most this Spring Break?

Future you knows exactly what they’re talking about.

2026 feels far away, but the Spring trips to see iconic things like the cherry blossoms and tulips, or to enjoy Italy and Spain before the big summer crowds — they’re the ones you lock in early.

Booking now means better hotels, better flights, and zero stress when the countdown begins.

I've already booked several vacations in January, March, and September 2026, so let’s get your spring adventure on the books! DM me where you’re dreaming of, and I’ll make it happen.

Five family-focused resorts in the Caribbean and Mexico that, in my opinion, get it right.

These are picks I love recommending to my clients because they always deliver for kids, parents, and everyone in between.

➡️ Beaches Negril, Jamaica – This is the resort that understands family vacations. Kids get a waterpark, an Xbox lounge, and non-stop activities, while parents get a spa, an adults-only pool, and a beachfront setting that’s actually relaxing. It’s that rare all-inclusive where everyone, from toddlers to teens to adults, is happy.

➡️ The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman – If you want a family getaway without sacrificing luxury, this is where you go. The kids’ club keeps little ones entertained with treasure hunts and kayaking lessons, while parents unwind at the adults-only pool or world-class spa. And let’s not forget: it’s on Seven Mile Beach, one of the most stunning stretches of sand in the Caribbean.

➡️ Atlantis Paradise Island, Bahamas – If your kids dream of a vacation where they never say “I’m bored,” Atlantis is the answer. The Aquaventure water park, marine habitat, and endless activities mean they’re always entertained, while parents can sneak away to the private beaches, fine dining, or the massive Mandara Spa.

➡️ The Fives Beach Hotel & Residences, Riviera Maya, Mexico – A hidden gem for families who want a mix of all-inclusive ease and spacious, family-friendly suites. The supervised kids’ club keeps little ones entertained, while parents can escape to the adults-only beach club or gourmet dining experiences. And while I believe the rooms could use a little updating, the resort is low-key, and perfect for families who want options.

➡️ Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana, Dominican Republic- A gorgeous family friendly resort that excels in food and service. There is no shortage of things to do from pools, water sports, building sandcastles, to the amazing waterpark (that is perfect for kids and adults!). Your family will beg to come bag next year!

And a huge bonus when you book any of these resorts? My resort and hotel connections and personal care all the way!

If you’re currently browsing the web for a getaway to book, DM me and let’s chat!

POV: It’s five years from now, and you’re thinking about the trip you almost took, but didn’t.

The kids were “too young.” Work was too “hectic.” Life was too busy.

But here’s the thing: life will always be busy.

The kids won’t always be little.

And the perfect time? It’s a myth.

The moments that stick with you aren’t on your to-do list. They’re in the sandcastle-building competitions, the belly laughs over melting ice cream, and the way their little hands reach for yours on an adventure far from home.

So if you’ve been waiting for a sign — this is it. Book the trip. Make the memory. Because one day, when they’re all grown up, you’ll be so grateful you did, because this one life is precious and short.

What’s one trip you’ve always wanted to take with the kids? ⬇️

Remember the freedom of spring break when we were kids when life was all about sandcastles, ice cream, and staying up late with your siblings?

Makes you feel a little nostalgic, doesn‘t it?

Now, as adults, spring break looks a little different — it’s more about unplugging, reconnecting, and finding a slice of calm in the chaos of life (in between buying the ice cream and finding the shovels for the sandcastles).

And speaking of spring break, it’s just around the corner. Are you escaping anywhere or staying put?

It’s so easy to underestimate how many decisions go into planning a trip from start to finish. Maybe you’ve narrowed down your destination, but now you’re scrolling through hundreds of resort options, wondering, ‘how do I even choose?’

Here’s how I help my clients cut through the noise:

✨ Start with your priorities. Ask yourself: What’s most important for this trip? Is it an all-inclusive experience, being close to specific attractions, or having a kid-free vibe?

✨ Consider your must-haves. Think amenities: Swim-up bars, private plunge pools, or even family-friendly suites with plenty of space. Make a list of non-negotiables and let that guide your search.

✨ Think about the vibe. Do you want something relaxed and intimate, or lively with lots of activities? The feel of the resort can make or break your trip.

✨ Lean on an expert. I recently helped a couple plan an adult only Spring getaway. A balcony with ocean views, adult only, good food, and relaxation with things to do were their priorities. They came to me with a certain resort that was recommended to them (would’ve been a terrible choice because it was family friendly! ) and ended up booking something SO much better! A luxury hotel well within their budget!

Here’s the good news: You don’t have to figure it all out alone. I can help you find that one perfect resort or itinerary that checks every box—and then some.

Three Caribbean islands you’ll LOVE other than Jamaica or the DR👇

Jamaica and the DR get a lot of love (and for good reason, I mean, I was just in Jamaica and LOVED it!) , but if you’ve been before and you’re ready to explore a little deeper to some of the smaller islands, here are three I’m currently planning trips to:

🏝️ Saint Lucia – Think lush rainforests, dramatic volcanic peaks, and the iconic Pitons. This island is made for couples who want romance and adventure. You can hike Gros Piton for epic views, then cool off in a private plunge pool with the ocean as your backdrop. It’s the perfect mix of thrill and chill.

🏝️ Grenada – Sure, it’s called the Spice Isle, but Grenada is full of surprises. The underwater sculpture park? A total must for snorkelers and divers. And if you’re a foodie, you’ll love visiting a local chocolate estate or sipping rum straight from the source at a distillery. This island has flavor in every sense of the word.

🏝️ Barbados – Yes, the pink-sand beaches are dreamy, but there’s so much more to love here. From luxury catamaran cruises to secret coves only the locals know, this island nails that blend of elegance and authenticity. And let’s not forget—it gave us Rihanna. Enough said.

Every island in the Caribbean has its own unique experiences and if you ask me, that just means more excuses to book trips.

Which island is your cup of tea? If I had to play favorites for a minute I’d pick St Lucia every time. What about you?

We’ve been here for a few days now, and everything has been wonderful!

The staff are such a delight, the pools are fun, the music is awesome, the people we are meeting and spending time with are lovely, the grounds are well-maintained and so pretty, the beach is great, the nighttime entertainment is cool, and the girls are loving all the little kitties roaming the grounds.

The only thing we’re not crazy about is the dinners, but we always manage to find something as there are 13 food options on site. Our favorites are SOY for the sushi and edemame, Chicken Tenders and Salad Food Trucks, Jerk Chicken Pizza, Crepes at the Cafe, and FroYo✨

Today we’re doing a boat ride, complimentary if you’re at the resort. And of course I need to try out the Spa today🤪

If you have any questions about this place, and would like to consider coming here with your own family, please message me!
