Rock is not dead and Minneapolis is out to prove it this week with four huge rock concerts in the next few days! with nearly 200,000 people expected to have their tickets scanned, it's set to be a rocking few days downtown!

Metallica, Green Day, Def Leppard, Smashing Pumpkins and more are coming to town with around 200,000 tickets sold for this week’s big shows.

🧑‍🎨 Downtown brought out the paint brushes and chalk this weekend for the Downtown Mpls Street Art Festival! 🖌️ The level of creativity and the amount of color is still high down Nicollet Ave this week from the weekend festivities. Take a stroll down Nicollet if you haven't seen it yet, it's still there! Not only was the amount of amazing art at an all time high but so were the amount of fun and creative vendors from Jackalope Arts 🎨

Wow, what a weekend! It was awesome to see so many folks downtown all week for theMinneapolis Aquatennial and wrapping it all up on Saturday for the Target Fireworks! Downtown is the place to be, and we couldn't do it without you all! Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate Minneapolis!

An evening filled with smiles and fun, thank you to everyone who was able to make it out to the Minneapolis Aquatennial Torchlight Parade last night! We loved seeing so many fun floats, bands, dancers, cars, sports teams and all of you enjoying it right here in downtown! We're looking forward to more with Downtown Thursday's today and of course the Target Fireworks this Saturday!

If you're looking for a place with a fun vibe, I think this might be a great spot to check out in the North Loop!

The two-story bar, lounge and eatery will have no shortage of disco balls.

North Loop Green held the ribbon cutting ceremony for the official grand opening of the newest building in the Minneapolis skyline! With office space, retail and the beautiful green space filled with murals will be an amazing space for activations and to just relax right in the heart of the North Loop neighborhood. Prince and his legacy have touched every part of Minneapolis, and Minneapolis couldn't be more excited to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of his legendary album Purple Rain this weekend!

Our first week of Downtown Thursday's was yesterday. Free flowers, food trucks, street art, pianos on parade and lots more made for a great lunchtime downtown. We'll be back each Thursday through the Summer! Make sure to come check it out if you weren't able to yesterday!

"They wanted space where they could all come together and have access to mass transit and amenities and a vibrant office experience," he said. "This one was a no-brainer."

There are some things you can only find in office space Downtown, some companies are taking advantage and making moves to downtown from their suburban offices.

While these moves are barely making a dent in the millions of square feet of vacant office space downtown in the hybrid work era, these companies are, in at least a small way, helping repopulate the skyways, parking garages and restaurants that have eked their way through the pandemic.
