To provide the Clearwater Camp experience to as many girls as possible – because we know it makes a difference in their lives and they will make a difference in the world. Clearwater Values:
We value the call of the wild as echoed in the loon’s mysterious cry, the beauty and wonder of the natural world around us. We value the dip of the paddle, the peace of gliding over smooth

waters, and yes, the ache and tiredness that come from a day of battling a strong headwind. We value song around the campfire, the remembrance of many wonderful shared experiences, and the anticipation of the new. We value the spirit of the Voyageurs and what it tells us about adventure, resilience, courage. We value our beloved founders, Halokwe and Sunny, and all they taught us about community, camaraderie, friendship. We value each other as companions, counselors, teachers, mentors, and we value ourselves as strong, confident girls and women. We value a community rich with difference, welcoming, and supportive of all, where everyone feels the spark of belonging and calls Clearwater home.

We are so proud of our partnership with A Thousand Summers whose primary mission is to bridge that financial gap and make camp accessible to youth who otherwise would not be able to attend. Thank you, ATS!

This Christmas we join with all Clearwater daughters in our annual tradition of re-lighting our council fire candles. This small gesture reminds us that even though we may be miles apart, we are all connected by the light of the council fire and this light is ours to share with others. On this day we also celebrate our camp birthday because it was Christmas day over 90 years ago when Sarah Holiday Sprague (Halokwe) first came up with the idea for Clearwater Camp for Girls.

The tradition continues: mark your calendars for Work Weekend 2025. From May 23rd to May 26th, we welcome all who want to give back to Clearwater to join us in opening camp for the season. We will be completing all of the regular cleaning tasks along with some sailing specific projects so any past sailing staff who want to put their skills to good use would be extra helpful. We can't wait to welcome old and new friends for some fun, hard work, and folly. Registration link coming soon!

Summer 2024 was one for the books and we are so excited to be planning for Summer 2025. Camper applications will be available: Tuesday, October 1st for returning families and Tuesday, October 15th for new families.

Whether you are new or returning, we would like to welcome you to join Kat, Sarah, and Christy for an informational Zoom meeting on Monday, September 30th at 6:30 p.m. Central time. We will share a little bit about camp for new families, explain the application process, and answer any questions you might have. We look forward to seeing new and familiar faces then!

THANK YOU, Clearwater Community!

We have 30% of the goal to match our anonymous donor who challenges the Clearwater community to contribute $150,000 by the end of October and they will match it, giving us $300,000!

These funds will be used to build 2 of the 4 new staff cabins in our master site plan! Every gift helps us meet the goal and we are truly grateful for your support.

Finding Nemo was a hit! So proud of the campers and counselors who poured their hearts into this amazing production. And so fun to have our first camp play performed in Mainstay!

Thanks to @redarrowcamp for an amazing carnival. Our campers and staff had a total blast!

It’s Christmas Eve at Clearwater and our campers are already filled with holiday cheer. Can’t wait to see what sorts of folly we wake up to in the morning!
