Thanks to all those who used Booking.com and left great reviews. I had one person leave a terrible review without even staying at the cabin. They believed the home was on water, which I have never advertised. I recommend you please read through a location's description to its entirety before making your reservation. You can always ask your host questions about their space. I always strive to give my guests the best experience and stay away from home.

Just about 30-40 min away. Have you visited?

Down the road from Lumberman’s Monument near Oscoda is a parking area for Iargo Springs. I say parking area and not the springs because they are way down by the Au Sable River. It is about 300 steps down to the springs but it is worth the effort. It is a beautiful secluded area covered in tall trees with the water flowing over rocks and logs down to the river. If you are ever in the area and you can make the trip down the stairway and back up again ( I had to rest a few times) be sure to see the Iargo Springs.

I am thinking about a new marketing tactic. Would you be interested in doing a scavenger hunt for mushrooms, butterflies or birds as an incentive to get a discount on your next stay?

I found this great book and thought it might be a nice incentive to get families/couples/individuals outside exploring but with a little money motivation.

Since there is minimal cell phone service at the cabin, and I do not provide Internet or cable TV, I found this nifty box to store your cell phones in and a book to help you come up with creative things to do outside of technology. I want this cabin to be a place where you reconnect with family and friends and disconnect from technology.
