The Fly Fishing Film Tour is coming to Missoula on March 19th and we can’t wait!

Join us for the pre-party at the Myrtle Street Taphouse from 5-7pm for beers, catering, and raffle prizes before the screening! Our team will be there along with some of our favorite people from and to make sure the event is kicked off right. Before we head over to the Wilma for the screening we’ll be doing a drawing for some awesome raffle prizes... you could leave with some new gear! We know a lot of you will be taking advantage of the warmer weather this weekend by getting out to fish! This weather comes just as MT FWP's 2025 licensing season begins tomorrow, March 1st. Make sure that you're all up to date on your licenses tomorrow before you go out. We've got some HUGE news to share with you! Starting this season, Blackfoot River Outfitters will be offering an exclusive lodging option for anglers looking to camp in comfort. If you're an angler looking to combine a banner day of fishing on Missoula's home waters with a night of camping and dining in comfort along the river, this unique opportunity is for you. The perfect day on the water starts and ends at the Luxury Riverside Camp.

If you've joined us for our Fly Tying 101 class in the past and you're looking to continue building your fly tying skills, this class is for you. Fly Tying 201 builds off of the basics learned in the previous class and covers 4 new fly patterns which will give participants an opportunity to use new materials and techniques. Jack is holding this class over four sessions, for two hours per session. All materials and tools will be provided, however participants are welcome to bring their own vise and tools if they have them.

Dates: 3/11, 3/18, 3/25, and 4/1
Duration: 2 hours per session / 8 hours total
Time: 5:30pm-7:30pm

While the photos from this year’s trip to with B.R.O. Travel are still surfacing, we wanted to share some of the fish that really put the “grin” in “grip and grin.”

Just like any of our trips, we’d love for you to be a part of it. If you’re considering joining us on a future trip from our B.R.O. Travel offerings, our travel pages on our website contain the answers to many frequently asked questions. Our shop staff is also prepared to answer any other questions that you may have. Please don’t hesitate to reach out!
