Festival Information:
The Fall Harvest Festival takes place on the two weekends following Thanksgiving day. This is a time to load up the family and spend a day "down on the farm". While you are visiting us, you will see the donkey working a

n old time cane press. Here you can learn about the process of extracting the juice from the sugar cane in preparation to make syrup. Just steps away is the outdoor syrup mill where the juice is boiling over a roaring fire with a sweet aroma that fills the air. Once you have learned about the syrup cooking and have become hungry from the sweet smell, take a trip to the kitchen. We serve homemade biscuits, syrup, sausage and milk gravy. We also offer a chip beef barbeque sandwich. After feeling like you have been to grandma's house you can return to the outdoors and listen to some blue grass and gospel music or take the children to the petting zoo. If arts and crafts interest you we have that too! A special part of our craft area is the "Spinner and Weavers". They come each year with their spinning wheels and loom woven products to sale. From year to year we are blessed with different artists, such as watercolor artist, basket weavers and very talented wood workers. We feel that there is something for everyone!! After you have seen every thing and would like to sit for a while, take a ride on the hay wagon. We have hayrides leaving every 1/2-hour and the charge is $3 per person. The Royal Ambassador from Palestine Baptist Church use all proceeds from the hayride for a mission project. This will give our young boys a "hands on" approach to mission work. Each year at the close of the season our R.A.s and their leaders come together to pray and discuss how the mission money will be best used. Hours for the festival are from 9am ‘til 5pm. So come eat breakfast with us and make a day at “Grant Christmas Tree Farm and Syrup Mill”.

It’s that time!! We will be opening our gates on October 5th for all things Fall! Come out and see us for pumpkins, shopping, food, and fun!

Our crew has been hard at work and we are excited to announce lots of new additions to the play area! This year you will find 25+ activities within our play area. We’ve got all the same old favorites like the Zip Line, Pumpkin Jump, Cage Maze, Corn Maze, Mud Pie’s Kitchen, Anthill and more. New this year you will find “The Dig”, GaGa ball, Tetherball, a bubble station, flower fields for photos, a climbing net, corn hole, and a real teepee, just to name a few!

With these additions come some changes to our setup. The play area is now a ticket-holder-only area. In previous years, guests could purchase wristbands for certain activities, but this year, we are transitioning to a singular wristband that gets you access to all play area items listed above, plus a train or hayride ticket!
Tickets are non-refundable, but they are good for any single weekend during the 2024 season. We also offer season passes! Use this link to purchase your tickets in advance: https://www.simpletix.com/e/grant-farms-fun-pass-187220

No tickets are required for general access to the farm! You can still come shop the gift shop, grab some yummy food, pre-tag your tree, enjoy the festivals, shop the vendors, etc., without a ticket.

We’re thankful to each of our customers who continue to support us year after year! We couldn’t do this without you. We are looking forward to this holiday season full of fun at the prettiest lil farm in Louisiana, where memories are made in the shade!

Many of our farm family may remember my daddy. He and Momma started this farm in 1983. On festival weekends you would find him cooking syrup. Today, he went home.

I have sat down at this computer screen many times over the last few days trying to form my thoughts into words, but it seems to escape me. I sit, ...my mind adrift, even now.
This past year has been hard, this past year has been like none we have experienced. But this year has also been one of blessing, one of sweet friends showing up because they love big. Friends that cook meals smack in the middle of their own Thanksgiving because we are mourning the loss of a loved one. Friends that take you by the hand and pray over a broken heart. Employees who go the extra mile, just because there is extra work and wasn’t even their job to do. You see, we are folks like you, we get up each day and put one foot in front of another. Working hard to make a living in farming. Trying to make the best of situations that are beyond our control. Seeking to trust the Lord in all things. Leaning into Him because we declare His faithfulness. Even if we cannot see it, even when we don't understand it, His is faithful. That does not mean things go our way, it means He meets us where we are and walks with us. Day by day, sometimes inch by inch. The New Year brings us new hope but it also brought us the loss of another loved one. My husband buried his mother the day before Thanksgiving. One month later his sister fell sick with the flu, she passed on Jan 1. Life is so fragile. We never know what a day might bring. As we see other obstacles in front of us, and more battles to fight, we will continue to declare His goodness. We also continue to look for blessings that will come in special ways. We will continue to work hard for you, our farm family. We will continue to run the race before us, we will continue to work to make our farm a refuge. A gathering place where sweet memories are made. A place where you come and leave the troubles of life aside for a bit. We look forward to another season because you all are dear to us. Happy New Year.

Bittersweet day yesterday.
I cut down a tree that has been growing at the entrance fence on the farm for 16-18 years. It was a 31’ tall Leighton Green, Leyland Cypress. This tree has seen the good and the bad over the years, several hurricanes, droughts, and ice storms.
Completely uprooted by Laura and then again by Delta, 6 weeks later. Nursed back to health only to go through the severe drought of 2023. We have lost over 1000 sale-size trees this year, several of which were 25’+. This tree survived a lot until the chain saw. As we have all heard, “what doesn’t kill you, will make you stronger” and in this case it was true. Our trees are planted and raised for this purpose but somehow a little piece of my heart becomes attached after those years of care. Hopefully, it will bring joy to those who gather around it or those who drive pass it.

The farm will not have another one this big for several more years. Thank you Coushatta Tribe for your support over the last 25 + years.
