We have a very exciting Ghost Tour given by MOBILE'S ORIGINAL GHOST TOURS. We started talking to Ghosts back in 1983. Which make us the oldest Ghost tour in the area. Mobile Murder Mysteries is a branch of Mobile Alabama’s original mystery dinner theater group, Mobile Mystery Dinners. Mobile Mystery Dinners have been entertaining thousands upon thousands of people in the Mobile area for over 24 years.

Mobile Murder Mysteries continues that with a new twist!! This is an interactive performance where you take part in the investigation directly, hunting for the clues yourself while enjoying a variety of free, themed cocktails that are served throughout the night. At the end of the night, you and your fellow detectives use the clues you gathered to vote on who you think did the dirty deed, and the correct guesses are entered into a drawing to win a prize!

Description of the Evenings' Events:

An Interactive Murder Mystery Cocktail Experience

The year is 1928. A murder has taken place at Mickey “Moonshine” Marcelo’s speakeasy in downtown New Orleans. Worried about being shut down by the cops once they come to investigate the murder, Moonshine has decided to call upon a team of private investigators to solve the murder before the cops arrive. It will be your job to interview the suspects at Moonshine’s and determine who did the deed.

The lead investigator will give you your instructions and your first clue that leads you to your first suspect. From there you will be tasked with figuring out what took place that fateful night and bringing the killer to justice. Do you have what it takes to solve the murder? The best detectives in the house will be entered into a drawing to win a prize at the end of the night!

Mickey will treat you to 3 of his best cocktails throughout the evening, on the house. His favorite drinks which he will be giving you are:

Gangster’s Paradise: Vodka, Peach Schnapps, Orange Juice

The Assassin: Vodka, Sour Apple Schnapps, Butterscotch Schnapps, Cranberry Juice

The Bootlegger: Vanilla Vodka, Coconut Rum, Butterscotch Schnapps, Heavy Cream

A cash bar will also be available if you wish to continue drinking beyond that point.

Mickey has also hired some of the best jazz musicians in town to provide entertainment for you while you go about your investigation and enjoy drinks afterwards.

While it is not required, we encourage you to come dressed in your best prohibition-era speakeasy attire. Grab a date, or some friends, and see if you can solve the murder!

The entire town of Toad Suck, Alabama is at the funeral of Beauregard Thigpen, the Third.
People are whispering that it is possible he was murdered because absolutely no one liked him. But, maybe he died from a heart attack caused by Alabama's tragic loss to Clemson! The whole town went into mourning on that day and Beauregard Thigpen was no exception, and after all, he always did everything to the extreme!
Beau, as he was called, was the local bookie and President of the Benevolent Order of Armadillo Club, where nefarious and undercover illegal activities took place, so some are happier about his death than others!!
Some of characters you will meet this evening are:
Helen Waite (ALLISON WADE) is the Church lady who works all the funerals in town, and you would never guess the plans she has made for her own funeral! Guess she has been to just one too many funerals!
Reverend Hal A. Looya (VAL OBREGON) is the local pastor of the Toad Suck Church Of Carnal Christians. The Reverend is the moral compass for the entire town, so he keeps his girlfriend, who is a stripper at the Armadillo Club under cover!
Detective Sakitume (ROBERT SANDS) is really excited. If it turns out that Beau was murdered, there has never been a murder in Toad Suck so he is excited that this may be the real deal!
Edna Thigpen (WANDA MARTIN) is Beau’s grieving widow, but what dark secret does she carry?
Gill T. Verdict (JON GREEN) is the town's best attorney, well, he is the town’s only attorney! He has a few secrets himself' and of course, he has the dirt on everyone in town!
Jack Daniels (MIKE McCALAM) is the oldest man in town, with a memory problem that may destroy Toad Suck.
Gertie (BARBARA LADNIER) loves to attend funerals, also a bit of a kleptomaniac. She is always packing so when she steals something, it might not be a good idea not to confront her!
Doug Graves (JOHN PASTUSZEK) is the owner and embalmer of The Byrne & Hayle Funeral Home and Sushi Bar. People in Toad Suck don't eat out much so he keeps the Sushi looking very fresh!
Baby Bubba Thigpen (REXTON PAQUIN) is Beauregard and Edna's worthless son. He still lives at home, watches TV all day.
Gloria Betternyou (SUSAN AMES) is Beauregard’s bitter ex-wife. She is back in town to retrieve something Beauregard took from her and to judge the Ms Toad Suck Pageant.
Bubbalicious (REGINA CASON is Beauregard and Edna's daughter. She is dumber than she looks, folks!
Ophelia Payne (LORI DUBOSE) was Beauregard's long-suffering secretary and money launderer. She is sick of the Armadillo Club and Beau's many girlfriends.
Maury Povich (CHARLES SEARCE) was invited to the funeral by Bubba who is Maury’s biggest fan. However, Bubba may regret inviting his idol, because Mr. Povich has some news for Bubba
that he might not like!

If you'll recall, we recently showcased one of the new busses that have been purchased to help modernize the WAVE Transit System’s fleet. Of the nine new buses we expect to have on the road by next summer, one will be dedicated to serving Downtown Mobile. The “MODA'' Downtown Circulator has a fixed route that runs through the entertainment district and along Dauphin Street. It has more than a dozen stops in key areas of downtown and circulates every 20 minutes on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The MODA will be getting an upgrade later this year, and I wanted to give you a sneak peek at the design concept. The new bus will be 29 feet long, can accommodate up to 27 passengers and is more accessible to those using wheelchairs. The MODA is already a great way to get around downtown for those working in or visiting the area, and this new bus will make it that much better.
