Thank you to Chelsey Sayasane FOX10 for having us on Studio10 to talk about our upcoming event this Saturday from 9 AM - 1 PM at The Bite: the Belles and Bites workshop!

This workshop is an incredible addition to our Maids for Mobile Tour and features an amazing lineup of guest speakers:

•Joycelyn Davis, member of the Clotilda Descendants Association
•Beth White, author of The Pelican Bride and other novels based on Gulf Coast history
•Chris Litton, Civil War and naval historian, expert on Mobile Bay and our waterways
•Judi Gulledge, executive director of the Mobile Carnival Museum
•Chris Andrews, founder of Bienville Bites and author of A Culinary History of Mobile
•Mrs. Wendy Lipham, interview and communications expert who has helped thousands of girls improve their skills

These speakers will engage the girls in Mobile’s history in a way they will never forget. This workshop is perfect for anyone interested in becoming an Azalea Trail Maid, Mobile Belle, or simply learning more about our city. All ages are welcome!

For the next six weeks, we’re bringing back the neon colors, track suits, and hairspray to the streets of Downtown Mobile with our 1980’s Murder Mystery Tour!

Once you arrive, you’ll receive a glamorous f***y pack containing your character for the evening. You’ll use the cue cards inside your f***y pack to bring your character to life. In between enjoying some incredible dishes, we’ll be on the hunt for a murderer among us.

Last night, we hosted our very first “Local Legends: Chef Series: An Evening with Tony Reynolds at the Battle House” on the stunning rooftop terrace of the Battle House Hotel, and it was an unforgettable evening!

Guests were welcomed with a delicious charcuterie board, followed by an incredible dish of Mesquite Smoked & Braised short rib over cheesy mozzarella polenta, perfectly paired with an Alabama Mule. This signature dish from Chef Tony Reynolds of The Trellis Room was a highlight, and he delighted us with a step-by-step demonstration on how to recreate it at home, sharing his secrets and entertaining us throughout the evening.

The response to this event was overwhelming – it sold out in just 14 hours! Due to popular demand, we’ve opened up another date on Friday, September 13th, but hurry, there are only 5 spots left!

We were thrilled to have some of our tour guides in attendance, along with previous guests from our food tours and some new faces who joined us for the first time. It was a fantastic night of great food, drinks, and wonderful company.

Thank you to everyone who attended and made the evening so special. A big shoutout to the amazing staff at the Battle House for their exceptional hospitality.

We were thrilled to be invited to the grand opening reception of the Admiral Hotel in Downtown Mobile after an extensive renovation, and it’s absolutely stunning!

The Admiral has beautifully blended Mobile’s history into its decor and menus, with some really thoughtful touches inspired by our rich past.

The food and drink scene at The Admiral has been completely elevated with the introduction of LeMoyne’s Chophouse. This upscale steakhouse pays homage to Mobile’s founding brothers, the LeMoyne brothers, and serves nothing but prime cuts of meat: filet, tomahawk, ribeyes, wagyu, and more. You’ll get a chance to enjoy delicious entrees like duck leg confit, burgers, grouper, and fresh Gulf fish.

The chefs will have a local selection of Gulf seafood but also unique items like Maine lobster bisque, scallops, and premium sides like Brussels sprouts and Conecuh Mac and Cheese.

The bar opens today at 3 PM, and the restaurant is accepting reservations for their Grand Opening on August 19th. Swing by The Admiral and make plans to dine at LeMoyne’s, Mobile’s newest place to eat and drink!

Look how beautiful our city is! The sun setting over the fountain at Bienville Square made for the perfect backdrop for this group photo.

This was a team-building tour, with guests scattered from every corner of the state of Alabama. It was great to hear that everyone had a new and better perspective on Mobile after this tour.

Happy National Chicken Wing Day! One of the highlights of our food tour is the stop at Moe’s Original Bar B Que for those mouthwatering dry rub chicken wings served with Alabama White BBQ sauce.

We had an incredible time welcoming this group of new hires from Evonik on our food tour. It was the perfect way for everyone to get familiar with Mobile’s food scene and hear about our unique history and culture.

A huge thank you to Mr. Woody, who did this tour last year with his new hires. He loved it so much that he decided to do it again this year with new hires from Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Georgia.

We’re thrilled to be a part of this onboarding experience and look forward to next year’s group!

We had an incredible time on Thursday, celebrating not one, but two birthdays! These lovely ladies enjoyed a fantastic evening filled with delicious food, cocktails, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

The celebration concluded at our beautifully decorated storefront, The Bite, with Happy Birthday wishes, cake and drinks, and memories that will last a lifetime. The smiles, the fun, and the food all added a special touch to the celebration.

Life was tough in the early days of Mobile’s history, with famine, disease, and constant threats. Modern-day excavations have unearthed many bottles, leading us to believe that alcohol was a central part of life for the settlers.

Rum, imported from Caribbean islands like Cuba, was so prevalent that a frustrated Choctaw chief remarked, “rum pours in upon our nation like a Great Sea from Mobile.”

What a weekend at Bienville Bites! We had an incredible weekend full of fun, laughs, and delicious food with our multiple tour groups.

🥘 Friday’s tour had a bachelor group on our food tour. These guys were a blast and brought the laughs despite the rain!
🍽️ Saturday’s tour started with a full group enjoying some of the best restaurants in Mobile.
🌺 We hosted our first Maids for Mobile tour of the season, welcoming a bright group of ladies from Baker and MGM who are gearing up to try out for Azalea Trail.
🍹 Saturday wrapped up with our first Summer Cocktail Crawl at 4:30pm, where guests sipped on delicious summer themed cocktails and learned about Mobile’s sipping history. Three tours in one day!

The Summer Cocktail Crawl starts this Saturday!!

Riverfront bars and saloons were a mainstay throughout much of Mobile’s history, usually catering to blue collar Mobilians working in and around the port. These rowdy bars were filled with seafarers who would come to drink, gamble, and fight in these unsanitary venues while the sounds of a Swiss organ played.
