Did you know that the Quad Cities has 8 school districts in the area? This means 8x the thought leaders tackling nation-wide issues like literacy and attendance. 8x the choices for families who want to live in and around the QC. And 8x the opportunity to be a model for education best practices nationwide.
On this episode of QC, That's Where, we talk with United Way QC President and CEO Rene Gellerman. Rene just authored her first children's book that both empowers children to cherish their own special talents and is part of a bigger purpose to improve literacy rates in this community. As a QC-transplant, Rene shares the reasons behind her passion for education and gives insight into what kept her in the area, where she ultimately decided was the best place to raise her family.
