📢I am going to say this a little louder for the people in the back...📢YES! YOU ARE REQUIRED BY LAW TO PAY A TOURIST TAX WHEN TRAVELING TO MEXICO! 🌴

🔹"I've traveled before and never paid it."👍 --- Congrats, you got away it for now.

🔹"My friends just went to Mexico and they didn't pay it." 🤦‍♀️ -- Congrats, you have law breaking friends who got away with it for now.

🔹"They aren't enforcing it so why pay it?" 🤔 -- Because it's the law... Plain and simple. You are a visitor in a foreign country, you are expected to follow their laws. Also, fun fact, starting in February of 2023 they have been digitally tracking passports not in compliance with the law, however, they are still working out how to penalize or fine.

🔹"That's crazy no other country makes me pay a tax." 🤥 -- Yes, they do. But most don't trust tourists to pay them so they build the tax into hotel stays, airline fees etc.. Many countries including: Italy, UK, France, Austria, Belgium, Portugal, Iceland, Japan, Spain, Greece, Germany, Croatia, and BIG SHOCKER HERE the United States of America 🤯 all have some type of tourist tax.

Explaining to clients the taxes, rules, regulations, laws and customs of other countries is a large component of my job.

I mean this with the upmost respect and love. 💕 If you have zero intention on respecting the laws and customs of the destinations you are traveling to please do not hire me. Never Settle Travels is not the agency for you.

Plane Crash overnight. Absolutely heartbreaking. ❤️‍🩹
Late last evening an American Airlines plane inbound for Reagan National airport in Washington DC, collided with a military helicopter. Both aircraft’s crashed into the Potomac River. Search and rescue efforts are still underway.

Plane was an 60 passenger, 4 crew American Eagle jet carrying young skaters, their families and coaches from the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Wichita, Kansas back to DC.
The military helicopter had 3 service members onboard.

At this time 30 bodies have been recovered from the river, including at least 1 of the military service members. No survivors are expected. ❤️‍🩹

Today we pray for all families affected and the over 300 first responders whom have been working on this horrific search and rescue operation in freezing wet conditions. 🙏

My Story

Traveling, exploring cultures, and going on adventures is my passion. I love exploring and learning new things! It is an honor to share my passion with my clients.

People always ask me why the name Never Settle Travels? When I was in college I was at a crossroads, like most college age people are, I was talking to my Grandfather about my options. He said to me, Kendra does either choice give you butterflies? I looked at him, thinking this is not the time to be cute or hypothetical, and said what exactly do you mean? He said to me as serious as can be (well as serious as he could be, which wasn't very), and said “Never Settle For Anything Less Than Butterflies”. And that is when my life changed. Needless to say I chose the less certain route full of ‘butterflies’! Years later I suffered some health setbacks and again my life changed. Nothing has ever changed my life more than that conversation, other than my faith in Christ. From that time I chose to live my life Never Settling for anything that didn't fulfill me and give me butterflies.

I now make it a point to do an international trip at least once every single year, which I have completed every year since 2014. My family has also been blessed enough to visit at least one US National Park every year for the last several years. Visiting the National Parks with our girls is something we truly enjoy as a whole family. The memories we make on our trips are immeasurable and priceless!

This is why I take planning your family, couples or solo vacation so personal. I understand what your vacation means to you. I promise to each of my clients I will treat your vacation as if it was my own. I only use vendors and locations that I myself would use with my family!
