How to Renew Online
After you login to your MyTravelGov account (https://mytravel.state.gov), you should see an option to “Renew Now.” Access MyTravelGov using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. You can also use Safari on MacOS devices only (iMac). Complete your application on a desktop or laptop.
The following resources will help you renew online:

Passport Photos: Before you start your application, get your passport photo taken. To learn about photo requirements, see photo examples, and common reasons why your photo may be rejected by the photo tool, see our Uploading a Digital Photo webpage.
Application Status and Tracking Information: We are offering routine service in 8-11 weeks and expedited service in 5-7 weeks. Do not renew online if you are traveling in the next 5 weeks. Track the status of your application and upgrade to expedited service within your MyTravelGov account. After we print your passport, you will receive an email notification from us with a link to tracking information. Please note it may take up to two weeks for your passport to arrive after you receive the “shipped” notification.
